problem with ad pages

I'm having this problem with KM 1.5.3. On occasions a website will load that is off the screen on the bottom right...it is barely visible in the corner of the screen and when I close down KM, this will stay loaded. It is always some kind of ad and they open up in smaller sizes than the normal page which is full screen. I have to drag in back on screen so I can close the browser. What am I doing wrong in my settings. I think I have everything set to load up in tabs, not windows, but in these cases I do get another window opening up (badly).

Any help much appreciated.

Sounds like You mean a script triggered window.
Would have been good You gave example url, can only guess now. sad smiley

F2 > javascript lets limit window manipulation.

I checked all where allowing would limit my possession of the browser.

1 tab. I allowed roll over effects. Rest checked.
2.Tab. I checked all in top and bottom select fields and chose lowest on middle select field.

Gunter,

I think it was the NY Post and a flash-based ad. I used Policy Manager to disable JavaScript on that site and haven't seen anything since, but it is early yet.

With my script settings I have no problems on http://www.nypost.com/ .
Except their flash player adds. I have flash on by default.
But kko's bunch of ECMA script bridles sure curb all other fancy tricks.

Guenter,

I have Policy Manager for NY Post now and with JavaScript turned off. I'm also using Flash Blocker and so far it seems to be working. No more stray web pages loading on the very edge of the laptop screen and causing me to have to drag them back onto the screen to close down KM... residual pages are a PITA.
