Local (LAN) servers

If you enter a LAN or Intranet-style address into the Address bar and press ENTER, nothing happens. The "motion" picture up at the top right doesn't move, no status bar action, nada.

Ex: http://intranet/ does absolutely nothing for me. I'm running Windows NT4, SP5.

Otherwise well done for a 0.1 release. smiling smiley

I've tested this same scenario on my company's intranet and don't seem to have any problem. This is most likely an issue between K-M and certain kinds of firewalls.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. But external sites worked thru a proxy for me due to have the MS Proxy winsock client installed (I know about the all.js file for normal proxy settings).

Do you have the winsock proxy client installed? That might be interfering somehow, and explain why others don't have that problem.

I can access Internet sites through the proxy server of my ISP. The Apache server on my local machine is not accessible at either http://127.0.0.1/ or http://localhost/. A workaround is to access it at the dynamic IP address I received from my ISP. K-Meleon should allow not to use the proxy server for specified Intranet domains.
