png's not displayed, here's the fix:

In 0.3 are not .png and .mng images displayed. If you want to be able to do this, download a nightly from mozilla.org and put the files nspng.dll and nsmng.dll from the components directory into the K-Meleon components directory.

There is an installer to do this in an convenient way:
