Double click to open new layer in background?

Hello.

Seeing the possibility of close a layer by double-clicking on it and evidently inspired by a recent post which asked about this, I've had the idea to offer the posibility to open a new layer as background layer simply by double-clicking on it. If you single-click it will open in the same layer, if you double-click happens the same and I see no difference between single and double-clicking, so, if possible to do, it could be added to future K-Meleon builds.

Anyway, and more in the present practical way, does anyone knows how to do it (I suppose editing some config file)?

Thanks.

Well, I've managed myself to find a way to do a similar thing by editing the accels.cfg file. Now I can directly open a link in a background layer by cliking the middle mouse button.

Thanks anyway.

I don't think there's a macro for double clicking, but you can assign the function to middle click or ctrl+click or alt+click or whatever you want. I always set it to middle click as that is the most convenient.
