i think this should be fairly easy. just detect the current page, if it is blank, just open the new page in the current page................

I have had this option enabled in Firefox for a long time and as I continue my investigation of K-M I find the absense of this option distracting. Shouldn't really matter how each user configures pages to open in their preferred manner, if the only tab open is blank then K-M should open the requested url in that empty tab.
