K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
Currently top browsers are fighting for the place to be the fastest browser.
Will K-Meleon attempt to be the fastest by using the fastest Gecko version ?
No idea either
K-Meleons always used a smaller browser only engine. A smaller engine is less code to move & therefore normally faster. Future K-Meleon will possibly not use the bigger XULrunner engines that drives other new Geckos but a smaller engine.
Most of the next generation browsers will have faster scripting engines.
You can try with Hao's betas what it is like for K-Meleon.
I cannot find the thread where results with new engines were published a while ago.

similar results for other K-Meleon for 1.9 with other optimized engines & runner up "iron".
Of the final versions?
IMHO Gecko browsers like Firefox... and since K-Meleon, Camino and other Geckos that use their OSs' native widjets are normally faster than their XUL based cousins:
K-Meleon on Win32, Camino on Mac, Galeon, Epiphany &... on Unix (or perhaps K-Meleon in Wine) ... :cool:
