Since this is no chrome translation You might be better off when You use an editor that can open multiple files and can do a spell check on the files.
Or do it one file after the other. The result must be saved in the UTF-8 format, else the file breaks. Jar is the same MimeType as zip. You choose "unpack here" to the extract the jars. Later the the folders are added the the jars again. The job is done for the files of the locale sub-folders of the jars.
You can naturally also use the en-GB Chrome files from corresponding FF or SM versions to overwrite files that exist in FF/SM and K-Meleon. But these FF/SM files do not exist for K-Meleon's unique Preferences Panel and do not include some Console strings.
You can either recycle the en-US locale folders or create unique en-UK ones.
Next You create a subfolder of ./K-Meleon/locales and call it en-UK or en-GB.
You need to create the English.kml again a UTF-8 file format, spell check and resource hack the dll strings in this subfolder so that they are en-UK.
See the
localisation guide page for instructions and resources.
