Don't know Chrome, but find it easy enough to do this manually: just hovering the mouse near the left end of the tab bar, or in the right half of the tab bar, then middle-clicking away (click/click/click/click/... - 3 per sec) to close a bunch.

What middle-clicks shall do is a userconfig:
either F2 > Browsing > Tabbed Browsing > Tab bar or
Tools > Mouse Accelerators > Firefox

Thanks for the answer. I meant the ability to close many tabs to the right or left of the active tab using the right button menu. That would be good. Doing a lot of clicking is fun, but sometimes you want to close the tabs with two clicks.
I also really like this browser. I hope that it will develop.
