Page anchor to stop jumping text

Hello

When pages load content jumps to top if user scrolls down before page is fully loaded.
Also known as "content jumping", the solution is to "anchor" the page.
Obviously, in pre IE9 days this never happened.
It may be a balance of web designers discretion vs. browser compatibility however.

It would be nice if this was a feature.

Thoughts?

It is.

I think anonymous just got fun saying that you could search in what Firefox version got fixed, if it got, and so give a hint on where could be someone have a look to see the fix.

Not fortunate the coffee cup joke, I guess.

About the above?, testing versions one by one until you find in which one got fixed.

Anyway, as the most up to date K-meleon engine is on Goanna, you should check if on Palemoon/MyPal/NewMoon/others based on latest Goanna is fixed.

@JohnHell
Platform was explicitly excluded. The name of last working should label this as invalid.

Don't get mad at me, but sometimes most of the times I don't understand what are you trying to tell me . You need to talk to me as if I were a 3 years old kid. I don't know if it is my english, yours, or what, or simply I'm just dumb

Platform you meant engine, I guess.

But what name of last working (I guess vesion) should label what this (what is this)?

I really find dumb myself by not understanding that phrase

@JohnHell
This thread was posted in the wrong forum. Bugs belong to bugs forum and excluding the platform limits possibilities to one boring regression in browser versions we don't use.

So, in the end it was that this thread should be in another subforum?

Whoah, really, I'd never guessed it.

IMHO, you condense too much your posts. Really.

So, for what I understand... this is not a feature request, this is a bug, might be a bug, but actually is a regression in other browsers... and not a feature... and not in K-meleon.

@JohnHell
Never mind. Not aware how this could happen in a configuration without tabs and sessions in your KM version.

Line 78 in BrowserGlue.cpp is the requested pointer.

@anonymous, You mean to say you do not experience content jumping at all? IMHO its rampant across all wbe browsers, even FF and modern ones...

@giro1991
Updated old KM forks when Gecko finally cleaned up the positioning situation a few month ago.

Okthanks
It would help if i was using this 'newest' version. I am using KM 76 Goanna77 weekly1

I refrain from updates unless absolutely absolutely necessary due to feature creep.

Is this fix a drag and drog add-on / plugin?

Thanks
Giro
