There is usually only ONE version of the source code for a program. ;-p (By the way, the idea is to reduce the bloat, not add more by coding in vb!)

I don't think I'd want a VB browser, ones coded in ASM/C/C++ are huge enough as it is! Also, WHY MFC???

what kind of person codes anything (except graphics code) in asm?

personally, i hate vb anyway.

mfc is no star either, but i'm guessing this was coded in mfc because it is the dominant toolkit for windows. what would you have recommended? the only thing i can think of is that borland thingy, but that requires the borland compiler (at least its free -- but is the vcl free?).

i hope the next version will move away from mfc. look into sol2000. it's prob not as mature, but it's almost genius in some aspects...

ps: learn c++. vb is foobar.
