K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
My 30-day trial of the Opera browser has just expired. I've been using K-Meleon for just a couple of days. Why is K-Meleon so much slower than Opera, or what makes Opera so fast? Also, when will printer support, searching, and new windows be added to K-Meleon. I could sure use these features.
I think the main reason for K-Meleon beeing so slow (compared to Opera) is that it uses the Gecko rendering Engine, which is not yet finished and (most important) not optimized one bit up to now. You'll have to wait for later Mozilla-Releases to get a faster Gecko-Engine.
