Will K-meleon be getting/including anything like Multizilla [ http://multizilla.mozdev.org/ ], in future builds?

Tabbed windows are so usefull for browsers, IMO.

Actually, I don't want to see tabbed windows. We already have the Windows taskbar. This will just be extra bloat.

I think it's more likely that a tabbed interface would actually lead to lower 'bloat'.

Instead of multiple instances of K-meleon opened across the taskbar, each with their own filemenus/icons/etc, running seperate processes, there'd be just one application instance with multiple document windows sharing resources.

Regarding bloat again, the memory usage of K-meleon is supprisingly large.
Running K-meleon, Opera and Internet Explorer (all latest builds) after a reboot, K-meleon takes up the most memory:

K-meleon.exe - 8.44M
Opera.exe - 5.37M
Iexplore.exe - 4.40M

For a feature-light browser I thought that odd?

IE's memory usage doesn't all show up in the Iexplore.exe process.

Kmeleon actually is a MDI application already, but the windows are children of the desktop rather than children of the main window (which is actually invisible). that means making it tabbed will not save anything at all, since the windows are already sharing resources and running in the same process; in fact it would add more bloat by requiring extra resources/processor for the main parent window (right now the main window takes up almost 0 resources). kmeleon does use a bit more memory than opera, but that's almost negligable. there are ways of making it use less memory (compressing, ect.) but then it would load and run slower, so there's a tradeoff. as they say, programming is an excersize in caching.

oh, and it uses less memory than ie because you forgot to include the 20+MB that's loaded up when you start windows.

But tabbed interfaces are great.
My taskbar usually contains between 10 and 20 programs ... more
than half of the windows are browser windows.
I love Opera and the new Mozilla for the tabbed feature ... but Mozilla
is to big/slow and Opera doens't really work with my computer at work.
K-Meleon is great ... with tabbed interface it would be even greater.
