"One killer feature of Galeon that you can be sure will be adopted elsewhere is the tabbed browser feature (now adopted by Mozilla itself, since 0.96). "

Hi there,
This is the most frequently requested feature on kmeleon. I am using third party programs to use tabbed interface for kmeleon.

Use Scope (400kb. freeware to make tabbed interface for browsers)
http://cyberian.tripod.com
You will need mozctlx.dll (40kb) from mozilla. Put this in your k-meleon directory.Open a DOS prompt, change to your kmeleon directory (e.g. "cd c:\Program Files\k-meleon\"). Type "regsvr32 mozctlx.dll". Thats it you can use kmeleon as a tabbed browser inside scope.

Use wintabs (tabbed interface for windows)
http://www.17slon.com/gp/wintabs/beta.htm (works only with kmeleon 0.4)

thanks

Wow, that's great. Want an MDI UI for K-Meleon? Use another browser (not a browser but rather a new front-end.)

Pardon my anger, but I actually took 10 minutes out of my life to look into this. What a waste, I'll never get that time back now....

Yes I agree, using tabs would be a very useful browser utility.

I'd like to keep it the way it is. The lack of a non-tabbed interface is why I gave up on Opera (although I think the new version does offer a classic new window behaviour). Long live the taskbar! (and yes, I really am serious)

I would go for the tabbed bit, as long as it doesn't mooch up too much windowspace. Making it optional would please everybody, no? But I love it anyway. smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley smiling smiley)
I dunno what this guy means about Opera , I do it without tabs (space usage suckness problem). Since I downloaded K-Meleon, I've done without Opera...

Ok Dev guys, I really dont think this would slow down the browser alot. MDI isnt really that slow at all! Even mIRC has MDI and a simple taskbar.

K-Meleon forum is powered by Phorum.
