It could be just that I'm not looking in the right place, but Kmeleon doesn't seem to support different language encoded pages. Can a feature be added in whereby I could browse a page that is, for example, in Hebrew?

While Chinese, Japanese and Korean are useful languages, I hope the encoding will some day support a few others I need (Eastern European and Middle Eastern).

Jonathan,

Let me dig up my notes for doing language encoding - they are in the Forums here too. We do provide multi-language support already.

Jonathan,

Start here:

http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?f=3&i=1672&t=1669

for Hebrew, you'll use "he":

ser_pref("intl.accept_languages", "en-us, he");

Do you know what character set you need? If not, let me know as there were 5 options listed in Mozilla for Hebrew.

After you do that, you can read here:

http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?f=4&i=1256&t=1245

on how to set-up a macro for changing your encoding. Obviously, change yours from Chinese to Hebrew.

Amazing - thank you! Thank you! That completely solved my problem and all Hebrew pages are now loading correctly.

One goof in my post above. It should read:

for Hebrew, you'll use "he":

user_pref("intl.accept_languages", "en-us, he");

not "ser_pref(....)"
