Search Bar And Mail Bar Should Be Part of Main Bar

The search bar should be a part of the main bar just like Netscape 3-4 and Netscape 6-7 and Mozilla. It thinks it looks better and works better that way.

Also The Mail be part of the main toolbar just like it is in Internet Explorer it would better that way and easier to use. Because All you have to do is move the mouse across the buttons to click the mail button.

Also the main tools buttons should be bigger so it don't miss the buttons because they are so small.

The Large Buttons in IE, Firefox, Mozilla, and Netscape 3-7 work better. The Tools bars in Netscape can be hidden by clicking a button the left which makes it easier to work with than IE.

Sincerely,
George Hall

In Mozilla, the main buttons, address bar and search bar are all on one bar called the Navigation Bar. That means less flexibility. In KM, if you want the search button/bar to the right of the address/URL bar like it is in Mozilla, then just drag it there. You can use it the same way, type your search into the URL Bar and click the search button, just like Mozilla.

What's preventing you from moving the mouse across the buttons now?

BTW, you can set it up the way you want via View-Toolbars-Customize. Just copy & paste the Mail Button portion from the Mail Bar to the Main bar. Keep the toolbars file open in case you make a mistake.

Also the main tools buttons should be bigger so it don't miss the buttons because they are so small.

jsnj,

Just curious. Is there a way to have separate email and news buttons instead of the current combined icon?

Tks,

Yeah. It'll be easier to do so in beta 3 as it'll just be commented out in toolbars.cfg, but for beta 2, go to View-Toolbars-Customize. In the Mail toolbar copy & paste the following. This is assuming you're using the IE9x based skin and not Phoenity:

News{
macros(News)
Read News
toolhot.bmp[15]
toolcold.bmp[15]
tooldead.bmp[15]
}

jsnj,

re separate news macro and icon in toolbar.

Thanks. I'll change that right away. And you're right, I am using the IE clone theme, so this wil work just fine until such time as Beta 3 appears.

Tks,

N

Any hints on when it will be out?

Not really. Andrew has been busy & unavailable for the last week or so. I think Ulf is waiting for his return for some decisions to be made such as whether to go to 1.7.5, 1.8 or back to 1.7.3 or stay on 1.7.4 and to determine the most important bug fixes etc... Or could be that Ulf just got busy with other things :-)
