This would be very very good to have in the favorites meno and in the favorites links bar.

I kinda miss IE's setup. When you add a bookmark, it asks you what you want to call it and what folder you want to put it in.

FF and moz do the same thing, as do nearly all browsers, KM is the odd one out.

I miss this feature too... it's very irritating having to open my favorites folder and deleting each favorite that i no longer use. It'd be very useful to have a delete, copy, sort by name, and a very informative properties panel that will tell you when you have visited the URL, how many visits you've made, the size of all of the files on the webpage(including external scripts, applets, flash files, images, etc.), etc.

It would also be very nice if there was some way to export the bookmarks. That way, when I reformat/reinstall, I can just pop them back in without having to individually add each one. (You people do reinstall windows every so often, right?)

Bookmarks and hotlist are each contained in a single file, simply find where that file is located (should be in your KM directory if you're not sharing it with FF or opera or whatever, otherwise it should be in the FF/moz/opera/whatever directory, or the FF/moz/opera/whatever subdirectory of your applications data folder).

Reinstall windows periodically?! Are you insane???! Spend hours reinstalling windows itself, then days/weeks/months/years reinstalling all your software, restoring your settings, etc, etc, all for no good reason?!!!
I've been forced to reinstall a few times due to problems, and would never EVER do so willingly!

(I know this is off topic but...)
Well, Windows *is* pretty bad a managing itself. If you can much about performace (as I do), it's best to do it every year or so. And being that I really only have work applications (and a very few, very small games), it's not much trouble for me. And to make it even easier, I've exported snipets of my registry and other settings and made a .bat file (all burned to disc) so that when I do it's a pretty streamlined process to get everything up and running. I love efficiency. smiling smiley
Maybe too much, eh? winking smiley

BTW - I've also made a CD of just (high quality) freeware software (with a cool autorun installer, too!). If anyone wants, I can provide URLs or even upload software as long as you have a sport for me to do so.

Okay, off topic stuff aside, thanks for the tip!

Oops - I meant "as long as you have a SPOT to do so." And I changed my mind - I'll only be providing URLs. I don't think my bandwidth could stand too much uploading.

If you click on "add/explore" under favorites, you can move and rename the item just added. I think that to keep up with size of all of the files on the webpage would require a lot of code. That might slow down KM so I wouldn't like it unless the speed issue could be solved.
