hello,
i'm kinda new to k-meleon (over a year or so...).
i wish to request those stuff :
please allow using the shift key to open in a new tab. and allow the mouse to drag a link from within the browser to do the same job even easier (something like a mouse gesture).

In many versions, using the miiddle key opens your link
in a new tab, or at least does this, after you have changed
your browsing options to "Layers only" in
Tools-->Browsing Options.
If you want to change the mouse behavior yourself, go to
Tools(sometimes Options)-->AdvancedPreferences-->Accelerators.
Change the concerned lines to your liking, for example:
SHIFT LButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_NEW_TAB
or
MButton = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_NEW_TAB
on top of the page.
Consider the effect of the options "%ifplugin layers" and "else".
"%ifplugin layers" is effective if you browse with Layers enabled.
Then close the browser first and save then accel.cfg
to its origin, not as "text" but as "all files".
After a browser restart, you should have the desired
mouse behavior working.
To drag a link from within the browser to do the same job
seems not to be possible at the present state.
