The features I'm missing from opera and firefox. I'll make it snappy:

1. opening background layer via middle-click
2. switching between layers using rigt-click-hold and mousewheel (while pressed, mwup is next, mwdown is previous)
3. right-click-hold and click-left for going back, left-click-hold and right click for going forward

1 and 2 are not listed as mouse gestures in Opera.

thanks for the advice, but you misunderstood number three: I meant that both actions for the reaction should be clicking the mousebuttons, not moving the mouse

Iwan, if you look at the mouse gestures options, set the last two - "Left and Right" and "Right and Left" - to forward and back respectively, and you'll get exactly what you want.

#2 is actually one awesome idea; hats off to Opera for thinking of it.

This Mousewheel tabswitching thingey is also avaliable for Firefox I thing. I probably found a link on a "make your firefox more like opera" page, but I can't find it right now.

2. You can use check-box for using additional keys together with gesture.

AFAIK the gestures can be additioanlly refined/defined by editing prefs via about:config . here edit/add/create* values for: kmeleon.plugins.gestures. ... plus with editor directly in prefs.js while browser is shutdown pluse fed to prefs.js via user.js. Check value on "FFox like Opera" page - since k-m shares many FFox prefs.

This does not exist in the gestures plugin: hold right mouse button, then scroll the mouse wheel to activate a gesture command.

It would be very useful when you have a lot of layers open (faster than hunting through the Layers toolbar or performing a normal gesture several times).

The answer to 2 is to use Strokeit for mouse gestures.
It's possible with Strokeit, just add a gesture that uses the hotkey for next/prev layer ( CTRL VK_TAB = layers(Next), and CTRL SHIFT VK_TAB = layers(Prev) ).

However "Rocker gestures" are not supported in Strokeit, so 3 is not possible with it.
