To increase defaults memory cache

Nowadays almost everybody has a 512 RAM computer or at least a 256 RAM computer. Why don't we introduce in the prefs a line like this to increase the defaults memory cache from 4 to let's say 33 (or 50) megas?:

user_pref("browser.cache.memory.capacity", 33000);

My memory cache is set for 65536 but I don't know what the optimum cache amount would be for a default setting.

Enaitz,

I vaguely recall discussions about what was considered optimum for the memory and the disk caches. Someone, I don't know who, said that smaller was better than bigger.

I set my memory cache according to various FFox/SMonk/GRE tweaks articles I've read but default settings have to work with slow processors, limited memory, small hard drives and legacy OS too.

Roger,

Right now, my memory cache is 4096k and my disk cache (on a ram drive) is 5120k.
