I do not understand. Are You refering to Your K-meleon or Your OS or Your PC, mouse?

I can copy paste in the log-in of our forum. I first mark the text then right click offers this option. After that cache is filled it also offers paste.

Windows xp sp2, Logitech Premium Optical Wheel Mouse, both Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-AT; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060917 K-Meleon/1.02 and updated version to GRE 1.8.1.1 also. So my K-Meleons, OS, PC, mouse offer me kopieren und einfügen - maybe You could try with the German version.

BTW. this field in which we are writing is AFAIK a Form - I never had any problem
with copy paste here. Never with any k-meleon & not with previous Phorum either.

I have nearly the same installation.
Here, in THIS form, everything is OK.

But being in an online-chat-program I neither can copy nor paste any text passages.

However with other browsers like FireFox, Oprea or AvantBrowser things work like exspected.

I see no point in writing English to answer hansenet ;-)

Versuch es mit vollständigem SeaMonkey components Verzeichnis oder gib mir die url.

Grund:
Wir hatten schon einmal, dass einfach komponenten fehlten, nachdem Mozilla den kode geändert hatte. Damals hat Walt gefunden, wie man Google maps nutzt bzw. er fand,
dass es mit vollständigem components verzeichnis ging - eingegrenzt war der fehler / das fehlende dann schnell.

Wenn nicht so zu lösen - muß die url und der fehler ins Bug Forum.

Habe nun folgendes gemacht:

SeaMonkey installiert und den 'components' file bei K-Meleon eingesetzt.
Jetzt öffnete sich K-Meleon in fehlerhafter Optik; die toolbar zeigte nur Text.
Daraufhin habe ich K-Meleon noch einmal darüber installiert, in der Hoffnung, dass die fehlenden Elemente ergänzt werden. War auch so.
Aber mein Problem bleibt:

In online mail- oder chatprogrammen lassen sich geschriebene Textpassagen weder kopieren noch woanders einsetzen. Die Auswahlliste beim Betätigen der rechten Maustaste enthält weder 'copy' noch 'paste'.

Meine Beispiele wären
www.finya.de
oder
www.bildkontakte.de
und vermutlich etliche andere mehr.

Wenn Probleme mit copy and paste auftreten,
so geht meistens doch hineinkopieren mittels
Tastatur :
Text markieren, dann gleichzeitig die
Tasten "Ctrl + C" zum Kopieren und dann
auf die Textbox clicken und gleichzeitig die
Tasten "Ctrl + V" zum Einfügen drücken.
Ctrl ist glaube ich in Deutschland als Strg markiert.

If "copy and paste" does not work, mostly
the keys "ctrl+c" for copying and "ctrl+v"
for pasting are still usable.
