K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
I think the tiltle says it all!
The current toolbar uses BMP, I think using PNG would make life so much easier when making a theme!
Firefox uses png also, think of the posibilitys
What are the benefits of using PNG? I know nothing on this topic, so I'm just curious. Transparency, right?
I just think perhaps that MsVC++ can only use bmp as icons and can't use other types.
Mozilla displays all the browser with xul (menu, toolbars, ...). This is sometimes an advantage, but this is is also the reason of the low speed of this browser.
We must choose: speed or png... (I'm not against png, I think it's a good format, but necessity is necessity).

I definitely favor *.BMP in this situation then. K-Meleon's all about the speed. We sacrafice that at nothing!
You guys pardon my ignorance. But couldn't we talk of SVG here?
Same answer, because SVG aren't handled by MS libraries used to build K-Meleon.

I would prefer speed and efficiency over any other suggestion.
Porting a skin from firefox to k-meleon could be done so much easier. That would mean more skins for k-meleon and better skins.
Starting up would be 0.001 second slower (It's a guess) but the rendering after is not done in the toolbar. So browsing speed should be the same.
Use this forum to talk about a feature you're missing.
