can't You read what the thread "K-Meleon Extension Pages" is for?

I do not want that thread cluttered more than inevitable.

Dev and improvement requests belong here.

can you give an example of an extension that's currently included with kmeleon? i think we surpassed 200 at kmext and it's getting hard to keep track smiling smiley naturally if any ext or macro becomes default with kmeleon, it won't necessarily be removed but will indicate in the versions supported that it's no longer required or needed for the latest version.. there're still users who prefer 1.1.x series or use older 1.5 editions so it's important to maintain support for all previous versions and not just the latest

an extension or macro will be removed only when there's a better alternative or update.. i've recently removed noscript by hacker maone because it was causing unnecessary support posts when policy manager is much much better and more integrated in km

AFAIK deactivation is possible by default at menu item: F2 > Macro Extension...

BTW. Non default extensions have English texts only by default for most users.

p.s. if anything defaults to en-US - it is obviously = NEW & additional.
Why should extension makers create an extra warning for the en-US minority? grinning smiley & eye rolling smiley

sorry i misunderstood..thanks gunter for explaining.

no..there's no way to find out what extensions you have already installed and disable them on the ext page.. does ff addons page do that? this is completely undoable because there is no extension service in kmeleon to tell the website what extension has already been downloaded.. secondly, this will no doubt require some javascript script on the website's end to sniff the browser.. maybe someone can do that in the future if they want..but i don't know js and i don't like it needlessly on websites and i don't think i'll ever implement any kind of js on kmext

& this is the first time in history that we have 2 many extensions 2 remember.
It is fun to get used to it grinning smiley

& I love to install my favorite extensions twice.grinning smiley

& There is chance that I grab an update by mistake ... grinning smiley

p.s. The service is not really needed.
Who would want external js sniffing in his k-meleon?
It really does not damage K-Meleon 2 install things twice.
It is obvious in English K-Meleon You see [user defined].
Default items have an explanation.
