I could open the versions in K-Meleon 1.74b2 folders (root + browser), but not the one in Firefox french 24 version I downloaded from Mozilla site.

I have found some threads on the net from users which had these problems (they were under Windows) I tried with Peazip that one guy said to allow to extract it and it was not ok.

Well, the problem is solved, as I can do it with unzip of InfoZip.

I used fr and fr-FR as folder name, not ok too
I changed i10n.js fr-FR and fr, the same

With the right main.kmm both locales fr-FR and fr works on my XP.
I will send by mail. Locales folder must be next to exe in root.

That is one of the last in magic pink. Hope Your mail addresses are current.

Repeat: Your system does not support partial transparency.

Only 100% or none for Win98. A windows NT function is needed for partial transparency.
I know this for certain since 2011 - because I compiled K-Meleon & dll.

So You please do not repeat Your legends, that it is a fault of the bmp's transparency!

BTW: Partial transparency was needed for some of the bmps. So disrupted and I used it.

Your skins works correctly, except for Go and GoUp buttons which are too large for toolbars.cfg config.
Correcting this &Go Buttons{ to this &Go Buttons (24,24){ correct the problem.

Unfortunately, replacing my main by yours doesn't correct the non-translation problem. Meld find the files identical.

Try again using Preferences (F2 or Alt+E, E), GUI Appearance-Toolbars, General.
This time type a new URL bar Title, and then push the clear button to return it to (none), then Close the Preferences dialog.
That's what I did, and it worked.

The 'Search Button' tab is missing in kmprefs here in KM74b2.

It's needed to set up the behaviour of search queries results - to open them in current or new tab (window).

I've found most of the code in old (KM 1.6) pref-webfind.xul which is responsible for this tab and its functions:

I do not know which icon. The gocold.bmp was AFAIK created from the arrows in the main bar. The icons of the theme are by Lim Chee Aun and some by disrupted or by me. They were made up in the same style changing bits from Lim Chee Aun's work. Because of the transparency problem some original icons would not port well.
That is why extra icons were made. And some more were created because K-Meleon can use more pics than Firefox does.

I usually use a slightly different skin. I will send it. Maybe a proper or usable icon is with it. It was done to my own liking with phoenity aura icons after the job for the k-m-project was through.

I will also send the locale package that I use for testing.
Maybe the secret is there? Who knows?

p.s. I am finished with the German translation (including with the re-population with FFesr dtd and property strings). - I am now looking for a German native speaker that reads it for corrections.

After that I will look after search.xml. The engines have to be all loaded once to weed out dead ones. I already found that austronat (once Austria's search engine) is down.

I have added some searches for financial items/stock quotes, ex dividend days and yields - like Search ISIN at Börse Frankfurt... from German sites.

alain uses it with Linux Wine. So it should work with *BSD?
AFAIK disrupted used older versions with BSD and Wine.

I set a string
I Quit K-Meleon
then
I remove the content of the string (manually)
I validate
After, the parameter indicates (none), but which is important, the string is really empty ...

Surely a bug, but not major ...

You are wrong if the bookmarks bar, favorites bar, or hotlist bar is enabled in GUi Apperances Toolbar Preferences inn the plugin are enabled.

You can hide the bookmarks bar, favorites bar, hotlist bar with view toolbars in K-Meleon 74 Beta2

You only have you restart to enable the bookmarks, favorites, and hotlist plugins are disabled under K-Meleon Plugin preferences and to enabled their toolbars in the prefernces.

1.) That is with all versions of k-meleon that You have to restart when a setting to a dll is changed. But (for 74 and 1.8 under XP SP3) I confirm that the Bookmarks Bar cannot be toogled via View Toolbars - Bookmarks. It is fixed below the other toolbars. It has no grippy. The bar is discolored when Back.bmp is used. In fact it stops to react as a toolbar. Probable reason: Kplugins must be compiled with older Windows settings. Your bug report and my answer should have been better posted in Forum Bugs.

2.) F2 Tabbed Browsing - Tab Bar - Display Tab Bar as Toolbar and restart.
It works and is a setting that can be changed with all recent versions.
Should be General / Support.

3.) Try to contact desga2 whether he has time to translate with You... or needs help. If he has no time You may have to translate it alone. Click on his name in Forum and see if his mail is still valid and shown. If not mail me and i will try to contact him. Belongs here because Dorian want to know - who does what.

In kprefs some functions use "CurProcD" whuich points to the browser folder in K-Meleon 74Beta2.

However if place "GreD" in some of those functions may work that are not working now.

pref.js uses "CurProcD" to the macro folder which points to the location of browser folder as the location of the macros folder unless the koatch function redirects to path to kmeleon.

If removed kpath function and replaces "CurProcD" with "GreD" would point to the K-Meleon 74Beta2 program folder.

There are other kprefs functions that use "CurProcD" by replacing "CurProcD" with "GreD" in those functions may fix some functions that are not working now.

Some of those function may not be using kpath function or kpath function dors not work with it.

Fore exmapke in the function below in pref-appearance.xul "CurProcD" shich point to the location of the locales.
