Setup for minimal MS vce8 dist

I have made in setup for Ms VCE 8 redist, which is smaller (about 500 Ko instead of 1.6 Mo).

It will be used in K-Meleon 1.6.x setup. The version I put online is a test version, which has been tested under Ubuntu.

I think there will be no problem under XP, but I haven't tested it under Windows.

It would be nice that you can test it and report for all Windows version, especially Vista and Seven where there can be some rights problems.

It ought to be installed without problem under Win98 se and ME, but I can't assurate that it works then ok.

Report all your test here.

Thanks

PS Thes files are located on my perso site, not KMES one ...

*sniff* The install works fine, and after windows restart it reports some system update, so far great. But when starting KM16a3, I can't notice any change. Especially not with my win98se-prob with the new 1.6 kplugins - too bad :-(

Well, I think I haven't been enough clear.

For each version, I ask to test it without ms redist already installed, to see if this minimal setup works, because it will be applied in KM 1.6.x setup, if needed obviously.

Without this install or Microsoft setup, 1.6.x doesn't work.

I remember that you had a crash during MS setup, but it seems that the minimal files had been installed, as it works.

I haven't been able to make it work just installing the ms dll in k-meleon folder as we did with msvcr71.dll and msvcp71.dll.

After, for you kplugins problem, it has probably other reasons.
