http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/ipv4-addresses-run-heres-affects/

Win 7 (32 bit)

I changed to FF compatible mode and it now works.

Some video does not play in KM 76.

I have JS enabled and user agent mode set to FireFox compatible but this site does not show the video. I hear only the audio stream. The same link plays both the video and audio in KM 75.1

Small bug report. Sorry for the bad english.

Steadily falling when selecting any of the encodings KOI8
(working with them need to read messages mail server).
The drop will occur on any page is open, but not empty.
Because at first was glad for 75.1, where many encoding
problems have disappeared, but it was not all.

And another interesting glitch seen steady fall (before and
74, 75, 75.1, 76a, 76b) at the opening pages with incorrect
indication of the path to the favicon, the result has long
become a standard еntry lines in user.js:

user_pref("kmeleon.favicons.show", false);

Otherwise, the fall can not be avoided. It leads to a drop
test in the form:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" />

To create a blank sample enough test.htm and copy this line.
A string of the form:

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="favicon.ico" />

will not lead to a fall. In any other browser, it has
no consequences. Unfortunately, they often have to meet
(and many web-CMS using this design).

Stable does not work on XP SP2, partly tolerated (for working
OS Server 2003) but sorry for people who are constantly asking
why they have not started 76+.

(+) That all work my extensions and scripts (created for 75+).

(-) Problems with Adblock, he worked in 75.1 and not fully
operational at 76+.

(-) Do not work dialogues obtain links and graphics pages
(there is a black box).

(?) Could not make it work is not one of the old xul "editors"
for the html code.

Thank you for not throwing it's not a simple matter and give
hope to all fans of this excellent browser.

Encoding name is probably KOI8-R.
If gecko does not know the encoding it just crashes...

Strange, that. Firefox ESR, and Seamonkey allow without falling use KOI8 (-R / U),
as well as older versions of K-MELEON (for example, 1.5.4 and 1.6+ variation).
That is, the encoding Gecko engine seems to be supported...

Not related to K-meleon 76, but as a development addition.

Dorian, consider to add the dom.popup_allowed_events preference to the popup blocker as this macro example:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,136186,136186#msg-136221

Initially the preference should be defaulted through kmeleon.js (for example) to the most restrictive as popup blocker is enabled by default and this must be restrictive by default too to work the toggler.

Does it show correctly on these Wikipedia pages and in the linked pages.

Looks ok to me on my machine. But I am German on a German XP SP3 machine.
So I am not sure.

The problem does not open the document in KOI8 ... the problem
is that if you open any page (not empty and not starting about:home).
...
Try experiment: open any of the pages of your proposed and
change the encoding of an arbitrary example Win1252 (or 1251), then
after the change, select, for example, KOI8-R and ... browser crashes.

Browser crashes when double-shift encoding, where the second KOI8...

Tested on Windows Server 2003/2008 (R2)/2012 and workstations
Windows XP SP3/Vista/7/8/10. Checks were carried out on clean OS
and virtual machine Virtual PC, Virtual Server, Hyper-V.

And try with: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" /> ...

///
By the way, managed to add to 75+ (76) fully MHT file type support
without recourse to IE core (aka native), if this modification may
be useful / interesting i can describe action or send ready files.

Why?, to avoid any popup. Yes, I know it is restrictive, but nowadays there are sites that take any opportunity to open popups. Even when using the submit buttons. Mostly they are upload/download sites, but it is so annoying.

It is a suggestion, as a response to the request made by that user. I find one to consider for the reason above.

Even so restrictive, the warning icon displays when opening some popup.

I just wanted to let it here, maybe to be considered winking smiley

As we have now in project of a macro/extension development, maybe could be as standalone.

How many of the following strings apply or could apply to the entity called '$popups_events="dom.popup_allowed_events";'?

## http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/content/events/src/nsDOMEvent.cpp
#----------------------------------------------------------------------------
#   static const char* const sEventNames[] = {
# "mousedown", "mouseup", "click", "dblclick", "mouseover",
# "mouseout", "mousemove", "contextmenu", "keydown", "keyup", "keypress",
# "focus", "blur", "load", "beforeunload", "unload", "abort", "error",

#   "compositionstart", "compositionend", "popupshowing", "popupshown",
# "popuphiding", "popuphidden", "close", "command", "broadcast", "commandupdate",
# "dragenter", "dragover", "dragexit", "dragdrop", "draggesture",

#   "DOMActivate", "DOMFocusIn", "DOMFocusOut",
# "pageshow", "pagehide", "DOMMouseScroll", "offline", "online",
#   "copy", "cut", "paste"

I have an idea for a macro. It would not require any change to Dorian's current code. It would allow both novice and experienced users control over the amount of restrictions to be imposed. It would even have a 'try and decide' feature. I do not see 'touchend' in the list. I may not have the right list.

All are DOM events. The touchend isn't there because it is not up to date. The touchend is for touch devices.

That file was referenced from mozillazine and looks old.

For a new one, there is the need for an updated source code.

EDIT: use this new thread to develop. I updated the file too.

Important BUG: iniwrite is still ANSI only

And am currently playing a lot with UndoLastClosed for a macro.
Can remember session-stuff was mentioned before, but don't remember details, so here a possibly duplicate (?) bug report:

- open browser (=about:home)
- restore a session (opens fine, 1 window with tabs)
- Undo Last Closed => a 2nd window opens for about:home

Pretty confusing when you're a tab surfer and suddenly all tabs are gone ;-)
Reproducable in 74, 75, 75.1 and 76beta

Something very weird is going on with restoring scrolling positions... Don't fully understand it, but it seems to be rather stubborn in restoring "old" positions ;-) Seems to happen especially when restoring, scrolling further, closing again, then restoring again, it opens at some "old" scroll position. Also when reloading an open page, the position stays where it is and this seems to reset a new "stubborn" position too.. When scrolling down further, close tab, and restore, the *reloaded* position gets restored...

It's really confusing, especially when juggling several KM versions at once for testing, so I recently had thought KM75.1 were restoring scroll positions perfectly, but that was an error. Oops... Now suppose it's rather the same as in 75 or 76.

I can restore the correct "closed" position with injectJS and scroll commands, BUT injectJS needs an alert-window first or does nothing. It feels like being not fully focussed, although cannot really be, mousewheel scrolling does work fine without needing any clicks, right after loading.
When opening a NEW page, not restored, and not reloaded before, scrolling with injectJS works perfect.

Hmm, if the file exists already and is UTF-8, the macro still writes wrong characters into it. Or is UTF-8 wrong here? The prob is I cannot figure out ANY way to write e.g. cyrillic or chinese text using iniwrite...

That may be the font used with notepad, if you are using it to open those ini.

If you use whatever editor with an unicode/utf font as preference, they will display correctly. At least in Windows 2000 with Notepad, but should happen in other OSs as well.

The only programs that I have that auto select font based on character set are the Internet browsers.

I'm using Notepad++, but the font can't be culprit. When adding exotic text into the same file with "appendfile" it looks correct. Only snippets added by iniwrite are wrong.

Because of a mistake I made I can't use the crash report for the favicon. Can you send me another one for the favicon crash using the following update?

Update

- Reduce cpu usage when minimized
- Fixed -webapp and -profilesDir
- Fixed sessions undo not restoring scroll position
- Fixed injectJS return value

And still delighted to see bugs getting fixed so fast, after years without hope before 74 came along.

What was wrong with injectJS?
Didn't notice, but might still matter for cross-version macros...
