Confirmed this problem on my WinXP SP3 system!

1. Anyone have tried the flashblock with whitelist? Doesn't work!
2. Dorian, thanks for fixing the crash problem of opening preferences panel, but another crash about the preference dialog is still there. Others can try: open the flashblock whitelist dialog and keep it, then you can close the preferences panel, and KM76 crash silently. As Dorian said, I shouldn't be able to close the preference dialog when the other dialog is open. smiling smiley

/* to Dorian */

Do you plan to use the engine 45.x esr (supporting vp9)?
Or version 76 will be only 38.x?

...
Interesting because K-MELEON 76.x is fast, but began to notice the emergence
of rendering errors on pages (not posts about replacing or updating your browser).
In 45.x esr css3 styles, even in cases of curves displayed well.

From other bugs: example page Save dialog which does not even appear
http://www.polystyle.com/index.jsp

I think the fault of a huge window title, but other browsers do not have problems
with preservation.

Fix for the Preferences (and xul dialog in general I suppose)

This update is not cumulative, you also need the previous one.
Is it possible to build K-Meleon without SSE2?

If my search was correct, you have 76 Beta 3 with both update 1 and update 2 installed?

Do you not see any history at all?

In Preferences > Browsing > History, do you have a check in the box for Global History?

Look in your profile and make sure that you have a file named 'places.sqlite' and check to see it if has a value in the date modified field that is the last time you closed KM 76.

Yesterday noticed that 76b3up1 now contains a 2nd native addon, places@mozilla. Wonder what it does, if it's really new or perhaps was only hidden deeper inside before, and if it's additional, what does it add exactly? There's no homepage-link like other addons have and find no description.

Anyway, after having now finally learned - or so I thought - thanks to the cookiekeeper example, that the versions in install.rdf are crucial, have now took a closer look:
KM76-beta3-upd1 (=gecko38.5.0 in platform.ini, 38.5.1 in extensions.last... pref) allows now:

places: FF 31.0 / KM74.0-75.0
newsfox: FF 2.0-38.6 / KM74.0-76.0

So newsfox is now updated, in KM75.1 its install.rdf had still allowed max KM75.0 only.
But "places" is confusing! whatever it is for, it doesn't even show up in about:addons. Other addons show up at least as "not compatible" or something if versions aren't matching *confused again* When I modify install.rdf it shows up at least, but still no options, descriptions or links...

Firefox 38.8.0 is ok.
The equivalent of it, FirefoxESR 45.1 not only has doubled its size but is totally shit! After a short test I wiped it from my HD.
Let's hope that Dorian will have the nerve and the time to decrapify it.

yes. And I created a new one awhile back (as instructed in this thread (maybe by you) to try).
See answers above.

Use an internet service, or you can attach pics to posts in extensions and graphics subforum here if size is smaller as 0.5MB

Suggestion: create a new, tiny history and post that file for downloading, so others can test if it works for them?
Here's a small history file:

When replying on this forum with 76b3, it looks like the post button isn't working/nothing is happening, but reloading the page shows the post actually went though.

When opening a new page, the screen often goes to the bottom of the page.
Really anoying when trying to use forums and a link doesn't take you to the right post.

I can't view my browsing history.
Clicking on the plus next to Today, Yesterday, etc does nothing. Why?
I do have remember history checked.

HAD EXACT SAME PROBLEM
History worked, then one day didn't. Hmmmmmmmmm now what did I do?
Added a bunch of extensions...
Removed extension "html5disable.7z"
fixed this immediately.
History working fine now.

Hope this helps.

Wow... interesting discovery! Sounds crazy, because all that html5disable does is toggle some MEDIA prefs and add a button. But if such a bug can be confirmed it would give some important clues.
Cannot test KM7X myself currently, just a few quick thoughts, after looking inside the 7z on kmext: cannot detect any possible probs, but this thread is for KM76beta3 - which KM versions are affected? Perhaps already fixed? Or could it be due to a user faked gecko version in the prefs?
Could it have to do with the default prefs file dropped into KM/defaults instead of KM/browser/defaults? (no idea if that matters) Or could it be one of the toggled prefs itself? or some incompatible mixed true/false combination of them? ("togglepref" only sets single values, not necessarily the same for whole block)
Could it be the ICO-pic for the button? Some syntax in the button creation? The tooltip containing "/" and "-"? Could it be due to a translations file, or some syntax related to translations, in the kmm/kml?
Some macro syntax? The double translation in the setmenu line (but highly unlikely or would affect 80% of user macros)?
Hardware/OS related?
No idea, just wild guessing ;-)
