Still SSE2-dependent, sorry.

I have seen some SSE2 dependent programs lately. I think sumatra pdf is sse2 dependent, (the latest version of it). It is not stated anywhere but I guess.

Sumatra is the specimen of software where SSE2-dependency was overridden by changing compilation flags and compilator itself, as I was told by our comrade hermes

The latest release for SumatraPDF is 3.1.1 (which I'm using at the moment). Here's the info from their Version History page:
3.1.1 (2015-11-02)
Changes in this release:
- (re)add support for old processors that don’t have SSE2
- support newer versions of unrar.dll
- allow keeping browser plugin if it’s already installed
- crash fixes

About Sumatra: Then it is something else... I'm going to try it again just in case. They told me to upgrade to SP3, but that didn't work.
Do you people think that this version of K-Meleon is going to be sse non dependent in the future?

Oops, sorry about that! When I posted to Dorian about the Preferences bug I didn't notice that the topic heading had changed. Should have been "K-meleon 76 RC". It seems to have then affected the topic headings of the following posts.

There shouldn't be any SSE requirement. If it's a problem, try without kplugins just to be sure it's not a core problem

Thanks Dorian, I'm starting it right now...
It says (in Spanish, so this is a translation): Can't find entry point ... procedure... GetLogicalProcessorInformation in library KERNEL32.dll
Something like that. Which means there is an API missing, right? So my next question is, do I need to update to SP3, and this is going to be resolved?
K-Meleon/75.1 works fine.

Looks like the minimum requirement it is an XP SP3 and above (at the bottom of the page):

Don't try under SP2.
XPSP3 is an obligatory requirement. SSE2 may be overridden. SP3 - not.

@rodocop: No can do. I need SP2 for some programs to run!
I'll stick with km74

Wow, interesting!
I didn't think XP SP3 removed much except for Windows 3.x program groups!

soccerfan,
just curious - what apps do work only under sp2 not sp3?

If I klick with the right mouse button and use the menu point "page properties" I get only a black window - for images and links, the rest of that menu is working. Under version 1.75.1 the menu works without problems.

Once again: it's a problem of docinfo-module.
To resolve it replace file
macros\docinfo.kmm in your installation with
that one
(you may need to register here to download this file)

An example (

obtained by the browser (as width, height, etc.). The query
of properties are ignored.

Curious, it seems to work for me :

Interesting
. Maybe because of the use of wine? Specially checked
again on a clean system (in a virtual machine). The result is zero.
Tried on clean 76 rc and with u1. Tested on XP / 2K3 / 7 / 2K8.
Separately checked a macro that advises rodocop.
The information window does not appear
.

I can not get the image properties to work, either. I am using KM 76 RC u1 on Win 10.
I can get the properties to show correctly if I save the image to my drive as 'chart.png'. Does the fact that on my drive the file is name dot 'png' and on the net there is no known file extension stop the KM image properties from finding it?
Copy image URL provides this information.
One the net:
http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chs=300x100&chco=dd1111,11dd11,1111dd,dddd11,11dddd,558899&chl=14.29%|10.48%|8.57%|2.86%|2.86%|60.95%&cht=p3&chd=t:14.29,10.48,8.57,2.86,2.86,60.95
On my drive:
file:///C:/Users/murra/Picture%20Gallery/unassigned/chart.png

KM 1.6 no popup either
Cache Information says:
Client: HTTP
request-method: GET
response-head:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Date: Sun, 19 Jun 2016 12:57:11 GMT
Expires: Mon, 20 Jun 2016 12:57:11 GMT

Content-Type: image/png
X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff
Server: GoogleChartAPI/1.0
Content-Length: 9440

"nosniff" and "block" sound like could be culprits, but have no idea...

In 75.0 doesn't work either.
In the last weeks I was looking into this.
I don't have an exact procedure, but it is based on how the image is loaded.
If the URL isn't an image and it has additional parameters that, in the end, invokes a redirect. The properties can't be displayed, but if you reload it (that hermes example is not the case) then you can.
This happens a lot with DeviantArt and the download link that opens the "original" image, also, it doesn't happen always.

It works too under Linux.
So it's a Windows problem, not a K-Meleon problem ... probably due to a windows system dll update ...
Happy with Linux:drool:
