Since two days it is no longer possible to see the concerts on arte. I use K-meleon 76RC2 - e.g.

It's not K-Meleon related. Latest Firefox ESR is affected as well and so is Opera Presto.
To blame is "arte tv". They changed their code forcing people to use only browsers the code was modified to work only with.

KM 76RC(1) here, the link works quite well. You may want to play with UA strings, although for this I'm using what I consider to be very generic KM: "Mozilla Gecko rv:38.0 K-Meleon 76.0 20160503", but it's not what Dorian shipped

Some videos are geo-locked, and it's needful to enable Flash (!!!!!) for all of them, but the ones that do play are very good.

I'm not sure Opera Presto still has the muscles to lift these newer sites off the ground, I only keep it (12.17) for forensic work, and it's rapidly becoming less useful by the week.

Do you get any error messages?

OK, "arte tv" works with both Firefox ESR and K-Meleon76RC2.

I retested to see why it didn't work for me before.
It was because of my user.js file. Some setting(s) for privacy and for making fingerprinting harder were the reason.
However I didn't bother to look further and see which of those setting(s).

The site doesn't need flash to work. However with flash enabled image quality is much better.

Yeah I too thought, he had updated it there. But now see the last version was posted only somewhere in the middle!
Then again, that was a restoration after a disk crash, with possible regressions, so no idea which one was better:

@ siria-- Gadzooks! It's a shame what happened to Dorian's computer. I image my hard drive to a flash drive every week, & always retain previous images for 4 months. Windows is in perpetual beta & closely resembles a virus infection at times.

I don't think K-Meleon is dead. The programmer, Dorian, had a hard drive crash so the schedule for updates and improvements took a hit.

Hopefully Dorian is hard at work and either version 76 will be finished or maybe he can leapfrog to a later FireFox esr and we might get a 77 version.

My Kmeleon RC 2 can play the video allright.

I second Mala - the video is viewable for me.

aimfiend - try to connect through some proxy or VPN app like Psiphon or smth like this

works/play for me too...........

Both K-Meleon and FirefoxESR are playing that video fine.

Try to add this extension to your KM and switch HTML5 on with it.

It works for me this way.

I'm not a programist and I am not familiar with advanced configuring and setting up K-meleon.
In my shop I have a really old and weak computer from the year 2005. K-Meleon on the 76 RC version works fine for me to the moment, when I go on some heavily Java/Flash webpages such as facebook or popular news webpages in Poland. Then i have a mega lag on my PC - processor 100% and all related features. Please tell me how to boost up K-Meleon so browsing facebook and other heavily java'd webpages won't be killin my PC so much as now.
