K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
Hello, I am new to K-Meleon, well I did download it last year but it didn't seem to be Vista comapatible so I uninstalled it, but this release seems to be working well. Can anyone give me a link to a good spellchecker please?
There is no reason it wouldn't be compatible with Vista, except you don't have rights to install in K-Meleon folder ???

Yes, sorry, I meant I downloadeded the browser K-Meleon last year & had some problems. Thanks for the link to the spell-checker. It seems to be working OK. Do you have a link to a UK English spellchecker? Thanks.
Dictionnaries used are the same as the one used by Thunderbird, or OpenOffice (not sure that the last 3.1 version uses always it).
You can copy it in Dictionnaries folder under K-Meleon, or change the dictionnary path and choose OpenOffice one, and you'll probably then have more dictionnaries the same time.

OK thanks. I actually have Open Office 2.4. I think I will be OK with the spell checker that I downloaded from your link though.
OK thanks. I have copied SeaMonkey's (Mozilla.org) en-GB.aff & en-GB.dic into my K-Meleon dictionaries folder & I now have a choice of US & UK spellcheck.

It doing nothing on wrong words.....(the list is missing....)

actually I cleared the profile folder, and then downloaded and run "K-Ext110_SpellCheck.exe", now it seems working. :cool:
BTW it seems one have to click twice to correct an entry, right?
just a thought, it might be better if it's done in a single click...
