What is window transparency?

I see KM has an extension for "window transparency". But I can't seem to find out what it means. Everytime I try doing a search for what it means all I seem to get are results for Perestroika or offers to sell me new windows. Can someome please explain to me just what "window Transparency" is?:s

Hi, cactus,

why not download & install powermenu and play around a bit - or are you on Win9x ? In that case, don't bother, no transparency there.
