StripMail removes '>' and '|' characters from received e-mail text in case you want to forward a message or use its content elsewhere. Selected text is not copied automatically, so just paste it into software itself.

I do not know how to make a macro for sending selected text to URL, but I did found this one very useful (You can use it for normal text on web pages. It was made for text copying from PDF though):
