this is an important update, please download from same link if you have installed it previously

fixes for few bugs conflicting with other pac based proxy configurations, better installation/first run.. blackhole(block redirect) server update..pac file update.

first run, family filter will install itself as default proxy server so it's ready to run right away..to disable go to tools>proxy>select direct connection or another proxy if you have others.

family filter proxy will not conflict with your existing proxy configurations or over ride them in any way

how difficult would it be to set up to give the context (right click) menu an option to add the domain to the pac file (in the same way there is an extension to add domains the the hosts file)

update 2: http://kmext.sourceforge.net/files/famfilterproxy2.7z

this update enables adding and removing custom domains to the pac

add a domain[filtering can be done in 2 ways.

quic block, by right clicking on a page and selecting famfilter blocker

the domain is blocked instantly and page is refreshed(no need for restart)

foolproof: in case adding an existing domain

other method is through a config dialogue: select tools>proxy>familyfilter config

the dialog will open and automatically add the page domain, you can edit it to add custom domains

footproof:in case adding an existing domain a message will be displayed

foolproof:adding an invalid address

to unblock a domain, select it from the combobox and click the unblock button

the combo will be refreshed removing it from the list

will also be refreshed when adding a domain and displays it in the list aswell

when there are no custom blocked domains, the combon and unblock button will become disabled

please note, good domains and ip range take precedence over bad domains..famfilter is content filtering proxy and should not be used to block good websites, you might block a good website like news etc and dind that it can still be accessed through famfilter..this isn't a bug but smart filtering ensuring domains in the good range can still be opened and browsing speed is unaffected unlike other filtering that check everything and slows browsing with normal websites that should not be checked

I'd like to discuss about some aspects over used .pac file.
Can I do here or go to the "Off topic" and new thread?
