YouTube Flash Video Player Firefox Extension for K-Meleon 74/75

For the YouTube Flash Video Player Firefox Extension to work with K-Meleon 74.0 and K-Meleon 75.0 Beta, download YouTube Flash Video Player https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/550588/youtube_flash_video_player-34.1-sm+fx.xpi and rename it to {f3bd3dd2-2888-44c5-91a2-2caeb33fb898}.xpi

Next copy {f3bd3dd2-2888-44c5-91a2-2caeb33fb898}.xpi into the extensiosn folder.

I would not recoommendYouTube Flash Video Player https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/550588/youtube_flash_video_player-34.2-sm+fx.xpi because it chrome.manifest has a bug
which is below

"contentyoutubeflashvideoplayer chrome/content/ contentaccessible=yes"

whch should be the following

"content youtubeflashvideoplayer chrome/content/ contentaccessible=yes"

YouTube Flash Video Player forces websites to use Adobe Flash instead of HTML5 Video. Which is useful becuase when flashblock HTML5 Video thet button to view HTML% Video is missing.Unless the option to block HTML% Video is disbaled in flashblock.

The problem appeasrs to be with the websites not flashblock. Because Flashblock https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/storage/public-staging/433/flashblock-1.5.17-fx.xpi use to work with HTML5 Video and now it doesn't

Flashblock https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/433/flashblock-1.5.18-fx.xpi also has this problem with blocking HTML5 Vudeo,

I believe the way that HTML5 Video is embedded in websites has changed when Firefox 34 was released.

Making HTML5 Video compatible with Firefox 34 must have btoken Flashblock Addon's blocking of HTML% Vdeo.

I just found that K-Meleon 74.0 and K-Meleon 75.0 work without YouTube Flash Video Player Firefox Extensiosn if the flashblock extension https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/433/flashblock-1.5.18-fx.xpi is extracted to the folder {3d7eb24f-2740-49df-8937-200b1cc08f8a} in extensions instead of copying {3d7eb24f-2740-49df-8937-200b1cc08f8a}.xpi into extensions folder.

The flashblock extension https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/addons/433/flashblock-1.5.18-fx.xpi does not block HTML5 Video in Firefox even if it extracted into the folder 3d7eb24f-2740-49df-8937-200b1cc08f8a} while K-Meleon 74.0 and K-Mleon 75.0 Beta 1 do.

Strange it makes not why would flashblock works correctly with K-Meleon and not Firefox

Because the embedded flashblock in K-meleon is custom? (I don't know but I guess it is)

Off-Topic:
BTW, George, I see that you have a good touch with extensions with all these updates to the forum, could you make this one to work? I'm a disaster on this. For me it just hangs:

YouTube Video and Audio Downloader

I am not sure if I ca make YouTube Video and Audio Downloader can make work with K-Meleon 74.0 and K-Meleon 75.0 Beta 1.

I just updated used macros and skins from extensions from K-Meleon Extensions and found out with extrnsonss they related on Add-ons for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

I aldo added files from the extensons at K-Meleon Extensions Central http://kmext.sourceforge.net/ to fix Firefox Extensiosn that did not work right off after instaled them.

For example, Preferential (New GUID) Firefox Extension for K-Meleon 74/75 http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,131262 did not have a cnrome.manifest file so I used preferential.manifest from the extension at K-Meleon Extensions Central.

then I renamed preferential.manifest to cnrome.manifest and used placed the Firefox Extensiosn file preferential.jar frome chrome folder to the smae olace as the renamed preferential.manifest file.

So I just made some pre existing extensiosn with macros wotk K-Meleon 74.0 and K-Meleon 75.0 Beta 1

Looks all so very much complicated with those FF addons.
Am just mightly glad again that youtube still graciously delivers flv for my KM1.6 useragent, and that the good-old hexed flash9-plugin still allows to retrieve it from the temp folder - just what I need smiling smiley

It's not a bad idea to use an older Flash version.

I used YouTube Downloader HD utility, but Google move from normal MP4, to MP4-DASH, and that utility needed an embedded ffmpeg to support it, but that version of ffmpeg didn't support older operative systems. I found a version that supported MP4-DASH, so I used it to download files without that utility, but then (about a month or two) Google switched to https urls for the videos and audios, and now I can't download with ffmpeg anymore as there isn't anyone compatible with Windows 2000 and below that has https support enabled.

So, now, I'm using that addon through Firefox to download the audios and videos and then mux them with ffmpeg, or to download the versions with audio and video muxed (720p, 360p and 240p versions).

And all the efforts because this Pentium 4 "dies" playing videos with Flash at certain qualities :/

Video sites are making harder to retrieve videos to play for low specs PCs.

EDIT: I changed the word ffdshow for ffmpeg. My mistake. Sometimes I mix up both.

For soem reason flashblock started blocking HTML% Video correctly even without YouTube Flash Video Player with Firefox 28.0, K-Meleon 74.0, and K-Meleon 75.0 Beta 1.

They must have websites must have screwwed up loading HTML5 Vdeo instead of flash player for versions of Friefox lower than Firefox 33.0 and above

Now wehn Flash is enabled with K-Meleon 74. and K-Meleon 75.0 Beta 1 flash player is loaded instead of HTML% Video without using YouTube Flash Video Player

I would keep YouTube Flash Video Player just in case they screwe up support for HTML5 Vdeo and Flash Video again

Firefox 28.0 started loading HTML5 Video Again. When I created a new profile for Fuirfox 28.0, HTML5 Vdeo stopped loading and loaded flash instead.

There must have been a hidden setting actvated by some website or soemthing else that forced loading of HTLM even with YouTube Flash Video Player Firefox Extension

K-Meleon 74.0 and K-Meleon 75.0 Beta 1 security is diffrennt than Firefox thta hidden seeting can not be enabled by a website.
