Hey!
Just curious if it would be possible to get a macro with the functionality of the pwdhash extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pwdhash/ or the functionality of the site https://www.pwdhash.com/ as some sort of bookmarklet maybe?
Does not sound overly complicated (as is rather simple extension), but obviously lack the understanding myself.
Sorry, but I cannot understand all the logics behind that extension and/or web service...
Can't you explain the workflow step by step?
Basically it is an password generator that uses the domain of the page and a normal password, and generating a hash of those two. Easy and somewhat secure way to ensure having a password that is different on every site, more secure and very easy to produce yet hard to remember. Of course there are flaws as well, but I have found it to be reliable way to keep using the same password yet having more security. Also there is no need to keep storage of passwords, as they can be generated on the fly.
The usage of the extension is to have a "shortcut" so does not have to visit said webpage every time want to generate a password, but could hit a key (F2) on the password-field, write the normal password, and it getting automatically hashed afterwards. Works without the usage of clipboard, so tiny bit more secure as well.
