Hi there!

Folks, I've finally created the package, that integrates Ultrasurf app into K-Meleon for free and easy web-censorship and restrictions bypassing.

This extensions add 'Pro' menu to the main one and also creates the button to run/close the app.

At first run it shows quick help. There are English and Russian localizations out of the box.
If you want to localize the extension - remember translate also Help alerts: they are placed in macros\ultrasurf folder named alert1. alert2. and alert3. You should give them file extensions according to your locale code as the macro uses general.useragent.locale pref to read the right help-file.

So, for example, Deutsch files shoulfd be named

alert1.de
alert2.de
alert3.de

while Español ones -

alert1.es-ES
alert2.es-ES
alert3.es-ES

Please guys are careful with such stuff, don't abuse KM to endanger job networks with malware

As for autostarting:
Rename the kmm file in the macros folder to "ultrasurf_mine.kmm", then open it with a notepad and add those lines at the beginning:

# modified by myself: auto-start ALWAYS
setpref(BOOL,"kmeleon.ultrasurf.active",false);
$OnStartup=$OnStartup."_ultrasurf_toggle;";

Haven't tested, but in theory should work.
(normally the setpref wouldn't be needed here, but that's only true if the browser was closed normally)

But keep in mind this will be hardcoded, without any menu switch => don't forget it!

A better alternative would be to keep the last user setting between sessions, and check at startup whether it was on or off, but that requires a bit more macro knowledge. My suggestion would be to extend the manual toggle with another new pref, with $_x matching the "active" pref of course:
setpref(BOOL,"macro.ultrasurf.autostart",$_x);
And then to check this new pref at startup each time:
getpref(BOOL,"macro.ultrasurf.autostart") ? setpref(BOOL,"kmeleon.ultrasurf.active",false) : 0;
getpref(BOOL,"macro.ultrasurf.autostart") ? $OnStartup=$OnStartup."_ultrasurf_toggle;" : 0;
(if-commands don't work at definition time, outside macro-modules)

(@rodocop, sorry can't help being myself :cool: what if those alerts don't exist in the user language...? Make fallback to english, if readfile is empty? And the pref names look as if they were native ones, could produce misunderstandings)

ESET treated Ultrasurf as a malware and tried to delete it ...

Yes, some AVs do suppose Ultrasurf to be PUP or riskware.

But I use it for years without any problem and - like thousands of its other users - consider it to be useful and safe.

But next time (when RC will turn into final) I'll distribute Pro as main package and set of addons to download them separately.

Not only UltraSurf is treated like threat by different AV vendors.

Sometimes when Ultrasurf is enabled, Gmail wont let you log in unless you give them your phone number.

If you experienced this problem, close the tab and just try again.

If this doesn't work, try disabling Ultrasurf and try again.

It's not working in my KM 76a and 76 RC2.
Macro and exe of ultrasurf running smoothly but IP didn't change.
Any ideas ?

BTW I personally recommend OpenVPN or Softether as a free alternative to paid VPNs.
At http://www.vpngate.net/en/ there are some config files for free.

I'm finding that ultrasurf keeps opening chrome or IE to its home page when running ultrasurf in KM - it happens every ten minutes or so.

There's settings for IE and Chrome in the ultrasurf ini file
but changing the values doesn't prevent this?

Earlier versions didn't do this.

Fixed it.

I renamed chrome.exe to zchrome.exe and edited my (send page or link to chromium) macro in k-m accordingly.
