Yikes - what a mess of files, shattered all over the KM-folder :O
How do you ever want to get rid of all that again later, when you don't know anymore which ones belong to KM and which ones to an extension? Just so many, and in core folders, and so many different names...

And it's quite old from 2012, and KM77-Goanna is much younger.
Most kmm-macros consist only of 1 file, and this simple K-Meleon system has a 99% chance to work in all future KM-versions too.
But this IDM-extension looks like a highly complicated Firefox addon, which some day was adjusted to also work in KM, and this type quickly loses compatibility in newer browser versions.
No wonder it doesn't work anymore in KM77-Goanna. That requires at least Gecko/Firefox-38 compatibility, and is featurewise floating somewhere between FF38...FF52 (if I understood that right).

It would be better to try and get a younger version of this FF-addon, as XPI-file, and just try if it works in KM too, or partly perhaps. Look for a Firefox version compatibility of at least FF38, but not too new either. The prob is, time is running out! In August Mozilla will completely delete all Firefox-addons of the type which works in older FF versions, and KM depends on those too sad smiley

Honestly, it's not clear. I have everything working even without any special
configuration. Example (video ~01:20 sec. 640x480):

Thanks, have watched it closely.
Let me summarize it:

It looks like you did NOT download the ancient KM-extension from 2012 at all?
Only installed the current IDM-app in your system, probably the demo version directly from its homepage:
https://www.internetdownloadmanager.com

Then you unzipped your customized KM-version into a new folder again, just to make clear this is "new and clean" (except your personal custom stuff)

Then started a local test page which contains a flash video, and play it.

And IDM works instantly, without needing any additions in KM-Goanna, no macros no nothing! As soon as the video starts playing, it automatically creates inside the html-page an infobar, offering to download the currently playing video.

Or did I get this wrong?
How does IDM notice there's video playing, in a portable browser...?

Because there is a driver, there are nuances on NT6x (remember, I show on NT5 x). With that, multiple installation of many versions can create a so-called "DLL hell". I'm showing on a clean virtual machine (for this reason).

The IDM video download bar has never worked for me with any version of it or KM on any pc or laptop over the years. Even on a clean install of operating system and K-M. Not even using advanced integration.

Thsank you for the video but I don't understand how http://127.0.0.1/ opens a video.
I get failed connection with it.

Yep it's getting clearer now, thanks.
And noticed I had overlooked a tiny but most important detail in your video: IDM is already running in the background! Directly after setup-installation, without needing to start it manually. Had not noticed the tiny icon in the Taskbar Corner before.

PS: postimg is a bad idea since lately. They have become really awful, they are actually converting direct jpg-links into iframes. And inject there what they want, incl. rather intrusive ad scripts, as people say. Had no idea converting image-links is even possible so easily. Does not happen while JS is blocked, but noticed it after I saving a forum thread to disk lately (John's emoticons macro). Lots of little separate html-pages suddenly appeared there.
This thread is now moved in the extensions subforum, that allows attachments. Of course whe shall try to attach as little as possible due to database limits.

@Mello, try this:
Delete ALL files and macros of that old 2012 extensions. Keep nothing inside KM itself. Instead use only the independant app, fresh download from IDM-site. Just as in Hermes video. Verify IDM is already running (icon in taskbar) before you open KM and access any video page on the web. Not sure if youtube is too complicated, would probably look for an easier test page somewhere.
You don't need to try 127.0.0.1, that is only Hermes collection of local test pages for all sorts of stuff. A local 'website' on his disk. You don't have this one.

@siria
I used postimage after robocop's council. Given that I lay out image through [ img ], I thought that it removes negative side of postimage.

But this hosting was not reliable. He (according to his assurances of authors) needs to store images almost forever. But most of images posted by me on this forum were removed (it is unclear why).

It is also obvious that applying everything through attachments is also impossible. Therefore, I have a question: from your point of view, through what hosting is best to post images for this forum?

Yeah, I thought so too, and was very surprised and shocked. Take a look at my postimg test-file over there:

All good hosting services from the past seem to be going downhill now, most already dead and even dropbox has a bad reputation now sad smiley And all the stuff I had hosted externally in the far past, is all vanished now.

No idea, sorry. But for important screenshots, for macros and addons, the only durable way is attaching them directly in the forum. I just try to keep the size as small as possible, reduce color depth etc.
