Noscript "Fake Video Errors"

Some video websites now give an error message when Noscript is enabled on K-Meleon 76.3.1.

When Noscript is disabled the video plays normally with no error message.

Noscript in K-Meleon 76.3.1 made need to fixed or hacked so those videos will play with no error message in 76.3.1

The error message happens when both NoScript is enabled and when DRM is enabled about:preferences

So when media.eme.enabled is set to true under about:config when we receive an error message NoDcript is enabled.

We receive no error message when DRM is enabled and NoSCript is disabled.

This one weird error when flash blocked enabled somtimes we recieve no error when NoScript is enabled. Flash Block must prevent the website from detecting NoScript when Noscript is enabled.

Some websites may give an error message when certain extensions are enabled like NoScript and sometimes Flash Block.

Changing certain preferences sometimes must prevent detecting NoScript

THey dont like certain extensions so they give a face error message when those extensions are enabled.
Changing certain preferences sometimes must prevent detecting NoScript

Or it could glitch that happens when certain extensions are enabled.

I don't think those errors are caused by a glitch.

I think instead of teating whether flashblock and noscript are enabled, They encoded their websites to cause errors and error messages when flashblock and noscipt are enabled

just like how wcostream.com had error messages with flashblock is enabled. They may try to do it with adblock and other extensions next a new low.

I ran a test with the classic flashblock extension that wash used in Firefox still used legacy addons were still supported.

the website was changed or encode to fail playing videos when k-meleon's builtin flashblock extension is enabled,

When flashblock 1.5.20 is added to the extensions folder it blocks the changes or encoding that cause error messages in k-meleon's builtin flashblock.

We may have to either make changes to k-meleon's builtin flashblock in or remove it entirely.

The simplest solution would to remove flashblock from omni.ja in browser folder and use flashblock 1.5.20 in the extensions folder.

Also when both the flashblock extension and noscript extension when both are enabled an error message is given from the videos on wcostream.com.

If turn off either the flashblock extension or the noscript extension the video on wcostream.com does not give an error message.

Some sites detect if videos are blocked with the Noscript extension even video player web address is whitelisted.

The ways to avoid the fake error and allow the video to play are:

1. Allow Scripts Globally
2. Uncheck Forbid <AUDIO> / <VIDEO> under embeddings
3. Check Cascade top document's permissions to 3rd party scripts under trusted in advanced settings
4. Disable Noscript in about:addons
5. Disable Auto Play in K-meleon then no fake error message is given when Noscript is enabled.

With autoplay disabled the website wcostream.com can not detect Noscript or the hack that gives fake error mssage is blocked when videos are blocked even when the video player address is whitelisted.

Side note just in case you are not aware:

You are going around and it is as simple as "scripts blocked, content blocked". Using NoScript or without using it. The sites just detect the content is not loaded and so tell you, faked or not, that you won't be able to play content.

I don't use the add-on, and I see the errors as well, just by blocking scripts. Any site, not only the example given.

It appears the some websites use meta redirection to block noscript.

So if you check under Untrusted "Forbid Metablock meta redirections inside <NOSCRIPT> elements" in the advanced settings which is not set by default,

Then meta redirection does not block the Noscript Extension.
