TinEye is a reverse image search engine that allows you to search for an image to find out where it came from, how it is being used, if modified versions of the image exist, or to find higher resolution versions.

Access: right click image and select "Search Image on TinEye".

Here you can find out how it works and decide whether install the macro or not.

Nooooo the URL is wrong in my code, but it was inside the Code tags ¿?, somebody fix it please!
It should be:
$OpenURL="h t t p://w w w.tineye.com/search?&url=".$ImageURL; &OpenURL_InNew;
Without the spaces in the HTTP-protocol.

On a side note I will need to register here to modify my messages.

For better visualization of URLs write it inside italic:
http://www.url.com

slayer, your macro does exactly the same job smiling smiley - that was almost perfect timing. There are still some cool macros to write so no reason to get upset ;-)

Matt, just a little tip. The OpenURL_InNew method(used by slayer) also works for those who disable tabbed browsing and also those using KM v1.1. So it's preferable to opentab.

Can we add search background image option on tineye like in ff extension? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/tineye-reverse-image-search/ Would be really nice.

TinEye used to work for me until recently with km

Now I get this message after using macro search or manually uploading image from pc.

"Please upgrade to a supported browser to get a reCAPTCHA challenge."

I've tried several different user agents in goanna and kmpro76

Yes, they have implemented an invisible recaptcha that relies on some latest browser functionalities.

Dumb move. So, a search engine, a reverse search engine, protecting itself from abuse :-?

What would be next?, don't let us browse the net without our ID related digital certificate? Dumb move.

Anyway, it doesn't work with K-meleon unless you have the versions and settings I quoted here from Siria, but read the whole thread:

Yikes, this topic is from 2009!
Find it a bad idea to resurrect such ancient ones, because most of them are obsolete and completely mislead clueless users who don't notice the age... Often there are already younger topics too, and if not, creating an all new topic would still be better. We're not biting here anyone who doesn't dig up 10 year old threads ;-)

Anyway, let me throw in this little multi-service macro too, for tineye, google, and yandex:

SIGH, that means yet again another service killed for me :-(
Tineye was the only image search that worked easy and fast without insisting on JS, with all its dangers and spying and freezing.

Yeah exactly! That's all they care about, total surveillance of every single step, of every single person. And reCaptcha is worst of all, now insisting on modern browsers, and of course combining user data across tons of different visited sites. GRMPF...

It was resurrected by Mello xD, but with a reason, a couple of days back TinEye.com stopped working because it introduced an invisible recaptcha that wasn't compatible with K-meleon.

Good reason to post, but IMO no reason for digging up 10year old threads ;-)
Edit: Hmm, then again: it's not just about a website, but also about a macro. Macros are different, in that case it makes sense to stick to a single thread

At least I just realized that Yandex still works for me now. Very last chance before nothing works anymore, sigh. Without JS it just needs stylekiller, and then additionally killing inline styles. Some day I'll manage to update and upload that style macro too.

BTW, what's the effect of faking UA with Opera12?

What I have told in the post I linked above:
http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?3,147403,149179#msg-149179

In particular, with TinEye, without Javascript, until a couple of days, just a spinner, then, a warning with JS disabled, then not compatible browser for recaptcha even after you enable message channel, subdocuments and third party scripts, and finally, use the Opera user agent, works as earlier.

Well, almost, because it used to work without anything, even JS disabled.
