This test site is a joke. It doesnt even show your IP.
My KM 0.8.1 test result:
Your browser reports to be:
Browser name: Netscape
Version: 4.76
Platform: WinNT
This browser is very old. It is at least two versions behind the current. It is not supported by the vendor any more and no patches are provided for security problems. That means that it has known vulnerabilities that cannot be fixed without upgrading. We suggest that you upgrade your browser to a newer version and come back to test it.
Yea, I'm rushing to upgrade and running back for another test

You guys didnt secure KM enough, my gess.

It always had the correct browser and version when I ran the test and the test works on IE and FB. FB is more secure. Ok, how do I make KM more secure and how would that keep the broswer check from crashing? If it wasn't secure wouldn't the test just come back and say "not secure" instead of crashing.

What sort of security checks does that site do anyhow? It sounds to me that there may be some sort of script error which K-Meleon doesn't like, so it's crashed on that. Maybe. But like any website which "borks" at Gecko based browsers, hey just find another which does work.
This site was designed with Netscape based browsers in mind, and runs a pretty good SSL check for you:
https://www.fortify.net/sslcheck.html
And also, apart from checking the browser's security, don't forget to call by Steve Gibson's security website and test out other OS vunerabilities, and also your firewall:

I had the same problem with 0.8.1. But not anymore with version 0.8.2. KM is passing all the tests.

Its not that its not passing tests. Its crashes in the middle of the test. If I could complete the test I guess it would probably pass but I would like to know and test it myself using a test that works on Exployer and Firebird. Thanks

It's exactly what I'm saying. With 0.8.1 it was crashing.
Not anymore with 0.8.2. At least not on my computer.

It crashes, more likely than not, because it tries to open too many new layers / windows at once and causes a stack overflow (that would be my guess anyhow). Perhaps a bug / RFE should be filed to institute a timer in the core and / or layers plugin so that there is a minimum delay time (e.g., 20 ms) between each new window / layer that is opened.

Ditto what MS said. I had problems on that site if I had a lot of other programs running. If you are running K-Meleon on a slow system, you might be experiencing the same problem. I've run 0.8.2 through the check and it reports back a clean bill of health.

Quake,
It can crash on high-end systems too if you are using a lot of system resources for other apps. Run it with minimum background apps running.

That fixed it. I stopped my optical mouse and the test works fine and its secure. Strange.
I reported a bug and was told it was a toolbar / clean install problem.

ummm... My K throbber stopped working without the optical mouse. Would a re-install of the Kute theme fix this?

Browser Security Test Results
Dear Customer,
The Browser Security Test is finished. Please find the results below:
High Risk Vulnerabilities 0
Medium Risk Vulnerabilities 0
Low Risk Vulnerabilities 0
As with other similar tests do not activate toolbars and layers at the same time!.
It seems to be a resource allocations problem of OS. But as is - it can crash even powerfull well streamlined systems - where no redundant prozesses are running.
