I'm using it now. One question that goes back through quite a few recent K-Ms:
-- Regarding the Layers bar, we have a single "Close Page" button and separately we have a "New Page" icon included on a toolbar. Wouldn't it be easier to just have them side by side (as before) on their own 2-button Layers bar? [Open][Close]
-- There might be an anomaly in closing the browser down. So far, every time, I've received two successive windows afterward on my desktop screen. The first one is a small popup reminding me how to kill History, and the second one is a window showing me this K-Meleon build in Windows Explorer. Strange.
So far, everything else is looking good. Bookmarks and GMail are fine. New page works fine and the toolbars are all good. Seems clean and fast.
:-)

The small popup is the reminder, to double-click on historydelete.cmd
in the profile folder that appears in the explorer window, which then
will delete history.dat, which is in this folder. This works very quickly,
you must not look for the file to delete, and if you want to keep the
history, simply close the explorer window. This was necessary,
because the privacy plugin deletes the wrong file (history.txt instead of
history.dat, which is where the history is stored now in the recent builds).
Regards
Fred

Thanks, Fred. :-)
Now, I don't use history, so I should be able to delete whatever causes those to appear . . . um, where do I find that?
(I have now set up the toolbars.cfg the way I like, and this is definitely a very nice K-M. Good-looking and it has a very sweet, fast "feel". Nice work.)

Hola.
¿Como puedo conseguir que al cerrar esta Version del K-Meleon no me efectue la pregunta de si quiero eliminar el fichero History.txt?
Gracias.

@ Carson
To stop the alert window for historydelete, go to
Tools-->Advanced Preferences-->macros.cfg
and search for the macro "OnQuit".
Delete there the lines :
alert("To delete your history, doubleclick on historydelete.cmd .");
exec("explorer.exe ".$path.);
Close the browser first and save the file to its origin,
not as "text" but as "all files", and the alert should have
disappeared afte a restart .
in spanish for
@ Roberto
Vaya a
Tools-->Advanced Preferences-->macros.cfg
y busca el macro "OnQuit"
Borra las lÃneas
alert("To delete your history, doubleclick on historydelete.cmd .");
exec("explorer.exe ".$path.);
y almacena el fichero
non como "texto" ma como "todos ficheros" .
Asi la ventana "alert" desaparece.
@ Guenter
Thank you for the file. I will test it with pleasure.
Regards
Fred
