Le setup K-Meleon est un setup amélioré qu'il est important de tester.
Les 'Locale Setup' sont nouveaux et permettent d'installer les versions traduites.

Les nouveautés de K-Meleon Setup sont les suivants:

- installation sur ancienne installation sans risque de plantage au lancement,
car les répertoires sensibles sont nettoyés (kplugins, components, chrome) et
le répertoire profiles est renommé.

- le répertoire plugin étant conservé, prise en compte immédiate de tous les
plugins déjà installés sans la nécessite de les réinstaller comme c'est le cas
pour certains (FreshDown, ...)

- installation ou désinstallation du Préchargeur possible après le setup depuis
SetDefault.

- localisation des messages avec lancement automatique du 'Locale Setup' afin de
d'installer la traduction, si celui-ci est présent dans le même répertoire. C'est
évidemment pour le français, mais aussi pour l'allemand (il faut que je le fabrique)
et pour l'espagnol (en cours). Mais son nombre augmentera avec l'arrivée des
traductions.

Ce qui devra être amélioré:

- téléchargement automatique du 'Locale Setup' en cas d'absence dans le répertoire.

- amélioration du nettoyage lors d'une installation séparée du 'Locale Setup'.

- nettoyage des profils situés sous les dossiers 'Documents & Settings' (pour
les utilisateurs autres que celui qui execute le setup)

'K-Meleon setup' is an improved setup which it's important to test.

'Locale Setups' sare new and allow to install translations of K-Meleon.

K-Meleon Setup news:

- setup on old install without xul crash risk when starting after setup,
as some folders are cleaned (kplugins, components, chrome) and as profiles
folder is renamed.

- as plugin folder is conserved, all the previous plugins are immediately
detected without having to reinstall as it was sometime the case (FreshDown,...)

- Loader install or uninstall after the setup with SetDefault.

- message localization with automatic launching of 'Locale Setup' to install a
translation, if present in the same folder. It's now obviously for french, but
also for german (I must build it), and for spanish (begun). But this number
will grow with new translations.

What have to be improved:

- automatic download of 'Locale Setup' when not present in Setup folder.

- improved cleaning when locale setup is launched manually.

- cleaning of profiles located unders 'Documents & Settings' folder (for
other users than the one who have executed the setup)

Works fine!

I autodetected my spanish system and offered first the spanish language. Also tried to localize the browser but as the spanish files were not present it was impossible.

I think you could implemente an automatic download procces when the localization is not there, aiming for a K-Meleon web URL (even if it currently this URL does not exist). This way when the localizations are ready we could place them in this URL and let the setup download them.

About aesthetics, I dislike the shadowed text on the bottom left of the main installation screen. It's difficult to read and IMHO looks like an amateur drawing job.

Congratulations for a fine (as always) job.

Also, when uninstalling from the Windows control panel, you receive a message asking you to click on the "uninstall" button. But there's no "uninstall" button, you can only choose "Yes" or "No" (pressing "Yes" uninstalls it).

For auto download, I have try it, but haven't make it work, but after holidays, I'll try again.

For the shadowed text, A admit I'm an amateur, an I'll see it.

About uninstall problem, I suppose this is a bug. The message is probably not found in the script. I'll look at.

Is there a complete spanish setup for the last version ?

I think Desga2 should have finished it, he was very close to it 2 weeks ago so its probably done. He was waiting for Maty but I'm afraid Maty may be unavailable at the moment.

I have not worked on it this time other than helping just a little bit revising Desga2 work, so I can't tell you any first hand new. Desga2 may know about it.
