When a plug in is needed for a web page for windows media player it gives me the windows media player 6.4 as the plugin media player I need the media player 10 plug in.

The realplayer plug in is fine.

How do I fix it before I uninstall this browser?

Its a windows bug. You will find a reg fix at gemal.dk page.

http://gemal.dk/blog/2003/08/07/use_windows_media_player_9_in_mozilla/

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ShimInclusionList]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ShimInclusionList\mozilla.exe]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ShimInclusionList\MozillaFirebird.exe]

I assume You will have to add

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\ShimInclusionList\K-Meleon.exe]

also You may want to have active x control support? see Fred´s test browser.

Easier method is to go to about:config and locate this entry: plugin.scan.WindowsMediaPlayer (if it doesn't exist, right click and choose new->integer) set that to a number lower than the version of windows player that you have installed, and it should find the plugin (you might have to restart KM first).

Alternatively, you could look in the windows player folder and find some files that begin with NP and have a dll extension, then copy those into KM's plugin folder.
