Quoterodocop QuoteMichael I don't seem to have it. In my tools menu there is no 'Twin-Tune'. This is another evidence that you are using old 1.5.4 profile with Twin, not its own new one. The Twin-Tune and Twin-Setup macros are placed in every new Twin profile when it's created. If you don't have these menu items - then it means you haven't created new Twin

Quotecaktus At times twin+ works great even though I have dialup with a 56k modem which connects at about 26k these days, loading web pages at least twice as fast as 1.5.4. However, when I attempt to load more than about 8 tabs, twin+ crashes. Also, when I attempt to access web pages after starting/restarting the computer, twin+ is in Work-Offline mode even though there is no check-mark beside

Thanks rodocop, After a lot of fiddling around I now seem to have it all set perfectly. I appear now to have only one issue. Earlier in the thread you recommended that we enable Twin-Tune under Tools>>>Twin-Tune. I don't seem to have it. In my tools menu there is no 'Twin-Tune'. Or am I supposed to do or install something else first? Thanks again for your help! Wh

Thanks a lot guys, I did think maybe it was my 7zip software so reinstalled it, but the problem remained the same. The new 7zip file that you've loaded up downloads and extracts fine, so it was definitely the original 7zip file that was the problem. Thank you for loading up the new one. I've managed to extract it to its own new folder in my programs. I also used the synch tool to

Hi guys, thanks a lot for taking the time to reply to my post. Okay, I set today aside to have a go at getting it all running (hence my late reply). Unfortunately, I don't seem to be able to even get past first base. I simply can't extract the 7zp archive. I've tried with 7 zip and two other archive softwares and it says there's an error with it. Could some kind soul ma

Hi, First of all, thank you for all your efforts on Twin, I'd like to try it out, but am a bit unsure how to set it up. Do I need to extract it to a specific place on my PC, or could I just extract it to my desktop? How do I then transfer over my settings and add-ons from my older version (KM 5.4)? Running Win XP Home SP3 My apologies if these are stupid questions. Thank you f

QuotedeadlockSame as 'Tools/Privacy/Block Frames' Thank you for the reply. Yes, via 'Tools/Privacy/Block Frames'. QuotedeadlockThis setting is used to create windows and a tab is not a window. I see...I think. Well, I wasn't getting any new window coming up (which I suppose only happens if you press CTRL+N), but they did appear in the original tab when I revisite

Update: Strange...all of a sudden I can now see the test iframes on my forum. I've closed KM a few times today as I've been upgrading it with a few extensions. Closing KM is the only thing I've done differently. Is it then a requirement that when turning iframes back on via the privacy tools,KM must be restarted for the change to take effect? Or is something else going on?

Hi, I'm having a bit of a problem with Iframes. Normally, I have Iframes switched off via the KM privacy tools, as I regard iframes in the main, to not be required (and a potential security risk). However, I run my own forum and am soon planning to begin a project which will require my using an iframe to embed a new feature (a resource rich calendar). The problem is, even when I turn ifra

Thanks JamesD. I am a little mystefied about the c++ developer issue. K-Meleon seems to have a very passionate core of users. There are many praises to sing about the browser, it can more then hold its own with all the leading browsers out there (and in my personal view, is much better then them in certain key ways) and it would be more excellent still if we had a c++ developer to advance the

I'd appreciate any advice. One of the main reasons for my using KM is its high permormance whilst being resource light. However, I've seen quite a few add-ons that I'd like to add to it as well as a skin. However, my experience with other browsers such as Firefox, is that the addition of ad-ons can greatly slow the browser whilst also raising demand on CPU and RAM while also slowin

Well, sometimes my images are downloaded to one folder, other times to another folder, so a default folder isn't really a solution (for me personally). How stable is 1.6?

QuoteJujulandAre-you wanting to copy the texte which materialize a link ? Example, in the following link K-Meleon, are-you wanting to copy the string 'K-Meleon' instead of the string (the URL, if you prefer) 'http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/' Yes, sorry, that's exactly what I was wanting to do.

QuotelinkyMichael, select the hyperlink text then right-click outside of the hyperlink/highlighted text, you will then have the copy function you seek. The key is to not right-click on the highlighted bit. If you wish to have both url and text copy functions available on the highlighted hyperlink then apply siria's simple context menu fix in the blue text here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/foru

The same thing also happened to me today. It was running as a process, but the browser itself didn't start (after 15 mins of waiting). After a reboot, it started normally. This was with version 1.5.4 on Win XP.

Thanks guenter. It must be quite a serious problem as in my case for the crash to occur, it doesn't first require that I use ctrl + L, just the letter 'P' typed in the address bar is enough. Does anyone know when a new KM version that addresses this and other bugs will be released?

Quoterodocop3) Is it possible to remember scroll position on every page with session? Looks like KM has such functionality but I cannot find it. And the magnification! Or at least, to be able to do so for certain favourite sites. It can be a little tedious each time when loading your browser and session having to go and put the magnification back up to the setting you had them at before, espec

It is precisely the fact that K-Meleon is so light on resources that it has become my favourite browser. It's even lighter still if you block flash by default (Flash is the greatest culprit for burning browser resources there is, it's a menace). I run several websites and have multiple online interests. This means I like to have LOTS of tabs open. Not to mention, I have an old low s

Hi, Chanson Yu... Thank you for posting up a screen of the settings box section regarding downloading files, but I don't think that quite solves the problem. What would be nice, is the option to turn off the prompt after an image download but ONLY for images, so if the user wants to they can still retain the prompt for other types of files. I DO want to be asked what I want to do with an

Hello, What would be very nice (although quite basic), is to be able to highlight a hyperlink in a page, right click and simply copy it as plain text rather then a link. The only way currently that it seems this can be done is using CTRL + C on the keyboard. That works, but sometimes you just want to be working with the mouse and don't want to be using the keyboard. Most browsers have the

Hello, I'm new here and this is my first post. However, I've been using K-Meleon for about six months or so and I'm VERY impressed with it. I have been encountering crash issues when using the letter 'P'. When having a new tab open and entering the letter 'p' in the navigation bar as the FIRST character entered (say, when writing a keyword beginning with '
