Just want to say that the current version (20211217) seems - for my needs - to be much better. This version apparently has no problems that previous ones had with some pages that I visit. It also seems to be stable and does not crash "out of the blue sky", which was oft the case before. Whatever the reasons for this improvement (be it upstream corrections, or Roy's direct new c

Many thanks for keeping the engine up to date!! Just a marginal note: When on Amazon (in my case amazon.de, but any amazon.* will do), in a customer review with image thumbnails, if I click on an image thumbnail in order to see the original image, nothing happens. When using "Goanna/20200605 K-Meleon/76.2" this works as expected.

Thanks a lot @roytam1! A happy New year 2020 to all! However, o.rths.cf seems to be down, or impossibly slow today. I was not able to download it. Update: It worked from http://o.rthost.win/kmeleon/

Thanks roytam1. The following is not a big deal, but maybe still worth mentioning... Maybe my comparison is erroneous, but it seems that these were newer a week ago (i.e. already had newer time stamps): nss3.dll libGLESv2.dll libEGL.dll IA2Marshal.dll AccessibleMarshal.dll icuuc58.dll icuin58.dll icudt58.dll translate.kmm Or maybe I made a comparison mistake somewhere.

For my part, this is what brought me to KM(G): My background is IT, but not C. I try to avoid dependence on global player IT companies, especially when browsers and mail clients are considered. At the same time I prefer portability, small footprint, speed, reliability, standard adherence, no advertising, support of privacy, open source. That's it. However, in some years I will most pr

Hi all! After using KM(G) for about a year as my primary browser I believe that KM is conceptually a marvelous peace of software. At the same time I find it frustrating and saddening to see it actually not much known, not much visible (even in Wikipedia), hard to grasp for new users. Lots of expertise, workarounds, additional macro functionalities are scattered all over the forum and wiki page

QuotesiriaPerhaps also include the necessary min KM-version, for users of older systems? (Like me, that means I haven't tried that macro in action yet, only taken a deeper look inside the file) Would this mean no functions (I would not be happy to try that)? And regarding Macrolanguage, which "since version" would apply? QuotesiriaLooks like it's always opening results in

QuoteJohnHell QuoteBorut The next two questions... 1. After a period of time of using alert() for debugging, I tried to use the logmsg() and was expecting to see the results in the error console (F12). Hm, no luck. Are there perhaps some known problems arround logmsg(), or error console? No clue. I never used till you reported here and it doesn't display anything, so, maybe is broken,

Description - why this macro: Support for search from the URL bar, using search keywords, like:g cookbookwhere g is a keyword (for instance for Google) and cookbook is a phrase which is being searched for. Easy way for users to define search keywords. Installation: Decide if you want one definition for all K-M user profiles, or separate definitions in each profile. In the first case co

Yes, sorry, I was really too quick with posting this last question. I had not one, but two errors in the neighborhood. Your aboutconfig: I have installed it a few days ago! Nice to have it at a click distance. Yes, I am aware of the page describing the macro language. For other interested people, here are a few really basic pages one should be aware of when starting with kmm (thanks also to

Hi JohnHell and siria! Many thanks again! The hints about the functions, main.kmm (and the others too) as a source of inspiration and kmeleon.plugins.macros.debug=true proved invaluable (at this time and for me). My next question: I thought that I can do something like: getpref(STRING,"kmeleon.general.sourceCommand"); but, as it seems, getpref() is not meant for that. Am I ri

@JohnHell and siria: Thanks for your suggestions. Everything is being appreciated, even when I do not answer immediately. Another naive question, just to be sure: The macro language does not provide for some kind of functions/function calls, does it? The only way of "calling" is like &somemacro? The only way for data exchange, when "calling", is via variables?

Thanks siria! I was not aware of this macro either. Many forums around here. Learning all the time. It is really sad, that K-M lacks core developers.

Hi roytam1! First, let me say a big THANK YOU for everything that you do. K-Meleon became a kind of a life boat for me and I appreciate your work extremely! The mozalloc.dll still seems a bit special to me. Please try the following small test when you find some time: Copy mozalloc.dll to your K-M directory (just for a testing purpose); Start K-M; Try to rename/delete the mozalloc.d

QuoteJohnHell You can manage them better through about:preferences url. Most of the times might works better if you just remove the file type mime definition than setting a preference (ask, download). Wow! I was completely unaware of that. Thank you very much!

I normally delete files that are not included in a new weekly. Is this a good approach?? The KM76.2-Goanna-20190601 weekly seems not to include mozalloc.dll. However, I have an impression (possibly wrong) that without this file the mouse rocker navigation is not working anymore. This is the reason I am asking: Are the files that do not exist in a weekly to be deleted, or should they be reta

Recently I defined a new profile. When in that profile, and when clicking for example a link to a pdf file, I am not being asked whether to open or save it, although in Preferences/File Handling both "Offer to save the file" and "Ask whether to open or save the file" are checked. The save dialog appears, without any questions. When I reactivate my previous profile then ever

Hi! There are Macro topics in other parts of this forum, but I am not sure how much are they being read. So I decided to position this here, under "K-Meleon on Goanna", to be used for questions regarding macros. Sorry, if this is not appropriate. My question: I would be happy with some relatively easy way to get information out of the xml files (especially out of the browser\de

Quotehermes The next step is to manually create single rules if necessary (very useful info - https://adblockplus.org/en/filters ). Yes, thanks. I had already found that page the same day and will be using it when needed. Very useful indeed.

@Mello / hermes Many thanks! Here are my few more experiences: Meanwhile I also think that a new version is not necessary. Why? Because I experimented with creating a new profile: Have created one (answering positive the question on enabling adblock plugin, although this might not have anything to do with ABPrime, as siria wrote before). I was surprised to see that ABPrime worked as expecte

I would also be happy if hermes or somebody in the know could make the current ABPrime of Pale Moon to work in KMeleon. As far as I see at my place, the settings page of ABP does not have any content under recent KMeleon versions (probably due to changes in KMeleon?). Or maybe I am doing something wrong? Because of all the possibilities and setting for ad blocking (described in some posts of t
