GRRR.... just tried again to get that thing working, after reading that "messageChannel" needs "webworkers" enabled. Right, found it was off in my Opera12, but sadly switching ON still didn't fix that criminal crap either Or at least, I can't even see the recaptcha-frame at all in Opera. Why?? Looked around in settings, css, renamed hosts file etc.... Guess last tim

Interesting, but if someone looks for Linux+KM they probably won't find it in "offtopic" :-/ And if KM is so shaky there (huge pity), alternative Linux-browser-tips for other KM fans can be helpful too. Would put "Linux" in title and move...

Virus warnings: As JH said already, some of the more powerful extensions (like ExtManager, itself an extension) are created with AutoIt and compressed with UPX. This upx format is the prob, it has always been infamous for getting false positive alerts if scanners cannot look inside. Not because they detected anything, just because they cannot check it. At any rate that's what their authors

What an endless nightmare... Would direly need access myself, but no clue how on old system, and probable zero chance anyway. In your case: could be that KMG76 is now blocked too, but perhaps only more tricky. No clue. Ocasionally (somewhere in web) people say "cannot connect" means that something is blocked. For example fonts download? (check all "font" entries in abou

QuoteAnixxBut this is quite an old regression. I switched to Pale Moon when this bug appeared ---- I think this problem appeared about a year or two ago. First K-Meleon/Goanna builds had no such problem. Of course it can happen that browsers get bugs which break functions that worked better before, but far more often it happens that websites change their code. And if the website authors use

(Just wondering, those rules are for youtube, not google? The topic header should be adjusted) QuoteMelloI like your blind guess It worked !!! I entered it into usercontent.css Cool! Thanks for confirmation So, for translation of ABP-type-rules into ordinary css for KM, we may remember that "##" is only a marker string for css-rules, and behind it follows a normal CSS selecto

QuoteJohnHellGuessing as well, those ytd might be the elements ids so with a hash sign Yep of course that would have been my first "natural" guess too, but dimly remember those double-## seem to serve as marker for the hiding-rules in ABP... And remembered having seen in youtube html source such fantasy elements, like this: <ytd-masthead...

QuoteMelloThanks a lot siria that ghacks link solves it for chromium with ublock - how to achieve the same in k-m? I used the second solution youtube.com##ytd-popup-container youtube.com##ytd-consent-bump-lightbox.style-scope www.youtube.com##.opened no clue, just a blind guess... Test this in ..currentprofile/chrome/adblock.css or in userContent.css @-moz-document domain

Wrong topic for complicated support discussions. Please make an own topic, or add it here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,121498 (but am afraid there are currently no other RU speakers around...)

(_HOWTO_ fonts settings) QuoteparadoomerMy laptop is really fast, but I mostly use it for reading. For that I very much like the K-Meleon — that with my dark Windows settings is fine. I love the simple and modest screens that I cleared and purged with K-Meleon. But some website prefer serif fonts for body text instead sans-serif. And I horribly hate that fucking curly serif fonts to read. C

Finally (re?)discovered the Phorum default smilies! And except just two younger ones, they actually work here too! Hmm... then again... perhaps old news? Dimly remember something... and some of those pics are also long since contained in my own modified macro, oh well. But never mind. Still good to have them as a little image list displayed here. Normal image names: . . . .

Quotethinkpaddertp4table.dat is not available under K-Meleon installation folder No of course not. It's a systemwide settings file of the driver. Paths may vary, acc. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/797506 for example: C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\tp4table.dat C:\Program Files\Lenovo\TrackPoint\tp4table.dat But since it's been a few years, wouldn't be surpri

@Shiro: good post, and at the moment it's best visible here, but probably gets overlooked in the future. Would copy it in a new post in Bugsforum too (assuming this will remain a long time still buggy...)

(Thinkpad UltraNav Trackpoint Scrolling doesn't work) QuotethinkpadderI've just tried those 2 aformentioned browsers and both 2 has got the same problem. They don't sens that UltraNav button. Uhm, which ones? Thanks anoK for those prefs, googled a bit and there appear some interesting hits. Usually for very old Firefox versions, but wouldn't be surprised if those could

Quotethinkpadder I've just downloaded the latest (76.3) version of K-Meleon. It works great in every way, no problems at all. There's a very handy button on IBM ThinkPads, the UltraNav button which is the blue one between the 2 red buttons and it greatly simplifies webpage browsing. That button works fine in Firefox (52.9.0) out of the box but it doesn't work in any version

That page is so chock-full with scripts... and if those generate important additional content, which isn't contained in the first loaded page source, there's probably not much hope. If not even a new profile didn't help. Speaking of new profiles... don't know about current KM, but in older ones the Cookies default setting is to block 3rd party cookies. So make sure in F2>P

QuoteMelloWell... each to their own I (& my body) prefer touchpads. I've got it siria - thanks Uhm... what's "it" now meaning exactly... ;-) But good idea to remap some keys! In general must say I'm with JohnH, for example sometimes I'm on a notebook where the "Pos1" and "End" keys require to press double keys, and one of them even only

QuoteZvonkoThe content is dispayed, the status bar already shows "Ready', but then the loading continues (advertising components?) and the content disappers. However, sometimes the page is displayed correctly ... The page shows up completely normal in my older browsers and with JS blocked, have tried several times in 1.6+74. UA doesn't seem to matter, or perhaps if JS is enabled

@Zvonko That's mentioned occasionally, but usually without example pages, so usually no one can tell anything and gets no replies. Test perhaps with/without JS, cookies, useragents etc., other browsers... In my old system+browser and JS blocked (useless anyway, too old and too heavy) I see that happen quite often. Obviously intentionally hidden pages for noscript visitors = no ads and n

QuoteMelloNormally I use drag to open a new tab, but drag doesn't work on some sites Just curious, dragging with left button, or mouse-gesture with right button? Personally I just middle-click on links all the time, to open them in background. Mouse-gestures are also extremely handy, and also discovered them way too late too, since then am using those all the time, mainly for Reload/Clo

QuoteK-Meleon FanThe only issue I have is with discord, I can access the login page but then discord does not run inside K-Meleon for some reason. Is that a known issue? Important info, if anyone is now blocked from accessing Goanna addons at addons.palemoon.org Useragents with XP or Vista in the useragent string now only get delivered a weird Cloudflare error 502 But faking the useragent is not enough anymore, now they also check the system by javascript, to block access for visitors with old systems like XP, or undesired XP-forks like Mypal etc.: https

So that's why your shortcut doesn't work if set by macro only. You only define, but never execute the setaccel macro. $OnInit=$OnInit."_Chromium_SetAccels"; --------- Itching macro finger again, sigh, can't resist... Especially as this is used as example macro, and everyone keeps perpetuating unnecessary macro splits, making it harder to understand. Just loud th
