Quotegordon451 Hi - Again, dunno if it's a bug or somthing I can work around or fix. Actually, I've "fixed around" it... With the preloader active, the browser window would come on screen, then jiggle slightly and flash the task-bar tab at me asking for attention. Even if KM is the only app running, it does this. The browser window has no focus at this stage, you cann

I'm with you old dogs still doing old tricks. I figure if it ain't broke don't mess with it. The only reason I'm using XP instead of ME on this machine is because XP came pre-installed on the cheapest computer I could find eleven years ago. But I'm still using the ME OS on my old Gateway which is upgraded to a whopping 384 MB of mem and old used parts. In 1993 folks c

Quotejsnj Most of the extensions @ KEC are compatible w/1.6b+ since most are macro, autoit & JS related. The site just doesn't yet reflect that. Only a few like ABP and others that involve chrome & component updates don't. ABP for KM v1.6 is available at the ABP site. Thank you for the info about macros. Are you referring to ABP 1.0.2? I thought 1.0.2 was incompatable with

Quotendebord Quotecaktus Morin' Folks. Turns out I had been moving the disk cache rather than the mem cache to ramdisk.:O Moving the mem cache to ramdisk works much better, so far. Caktus, TWo questions for you. Why would moving memory cache to a protected memory cache in ramdrive be any better than the default? Second, where is the setting in KM to change memory cache location to a

The error console has been empty and I have been checking it daily to see if it populates. While at http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/list.php?1 I checked it and it reported the following warning: Warning: redeclaration of function editor_tools_handle_subjectsmiley Source file: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/javascript.php Line: 1127, Column: 9 Source code: function editor_tools_handle_subje

@ JujuLand I have tried to use Linux. Linux definitely used less system resources and is a fast OS but I could not get used to it, even though I tried to follow the instructions. I guess I am just getting old and stuck with old habits. They say "You can't teach an old dog knew tricks." But I have no problem teaching "Old dogs knew tricks." It's just me that

Quotexps Is this feature unique to this browser? What scenarios would you use it for? Suppose you are opening a lot of links but probably won't bookmark them you can save a snapshot of the open windows and tabs and then come back whenever you need to? Any others? Hi, xps. Save Session seems to cache a new session for only a short while, not a big help. Saving a session makes it easy

QuoteJujuLand @siria Perhaps I'm wrong, but under Linux, with Firefox, I have some trouble with offline. Try adding this pref if it's better (it solves my problem under Linux): toolkit.networkmanager.disable => true If Firefox doesn't find network, it opens offline Perhaps the problem may occurs under windows ??? Who knows ... I haven't had time to test K-Mel

QuoteJujuLand So when I do it, I generally make it manually, line by line not to have too much problems, and mainly for extensions. Same here, customizing aways seems to work out best so I guess I'll just start from scratch again. Actually, I'm getting kind of used to starting all over.¬_¬ Thanks.

Apparently the problem was caused by ramdisk. Since getting rid of the ramdisk 1.1.0.0 and moving the IE and KM cache folders back to their default locations a few days ago everything has been fine. Thank you for the positive info regarding KM 1.6. I will give it a try. I have always experienced problems when trying to backup and graft/import my Profile, and customized skins to new KM browse

I'd tell the CCleaner folks that I will stop using CCleaner because of this in the very slight possibility that they might fix the application.

I seem to have the same problem and worse. I am still using Works spreadsheet 2000 (anything that is already paid for or is free, I still use it.:cool A slow work-around I use is to copy and paste html (or other behind-the-scenes formated stuff) into a text document such as Notepad then copy and paste into the spreadsheet.

It might also make the freewares easily searchable.

QuoteJim If k-meleon is installed in a ramdrive, does it make any difference to have a memory cache vs a disk cache? Am I correct in thinking that both caches are in ram? Thank you. Hi Jim. I have run a RAM drive both with and without KM's Memory (RAM) cache enabled and have noticed no difference. But off-hand it does sound like one would cause conflict with the other.
