I watched the video. Do I understand correctly that you are offering your plugin for Adblock. "In addition, at the time, and now offered (repeatedly) my plugin. But not interested in anyone. In my implementation, the browser consumes much less memory. The demonstration lasts about 13 minutes and despite the huge number of open pages consumption does not go away even 200 MB." If th

Again thanks to you and hermes for the proper way to turn AdBlock off. I knew that list was there somewhere but hadn't seen it for sometime. I went into 'about:config' and saw the setting 'kmeleon.plugins.adblock.load; was false' ... then I went to: > KPLUGiNS > and put a check in the adblock box ... did a browser restart and went back into 'about:config

Thanks siria and hermes for additional information. No problem ... every time I make any changes, deletes or adds ... I back up the 'whole' K-Meleon folder to a flash drive in steps or stages. I just went back to my K-Meleon backup from 12-23-2017 before I started this odyssey. All is well ... I like to 'experiment' with everything ... settings and such so I save every

After reading about Basic AdBlock and all the other possible versions. I have just a simple question about 'removing' AdBlock completely. I don't want it in my current KM76 setup. Perhaps in the future I may decide to try it again when K-Meleon is in a final release version. In the link posted by siria: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?9,135175,137036#msg-137036

I happen to like the weekly updates from roytam1 ... or whenever they might be released. It works for me as I see K-Meleon getting better with each build. It doesn't seem to be a big deal ... whenever a person downloads an update, they should have the latest good working copy of K-Meleon. Also, with the weekly updates ... doesn't it make it possible to discover a problem easier an

I do not want to use AdblockPlus ... or any Adblock. I don't know enough about it and if it really works or blocks things it shouldn't. Thanks siria for all the 'clues' and 'hints' of where to look. I have looked around and I don't seem to have it installed anywhere. It probably would be nice to be able to turn it 'off' and 'on' as needed.

I always liked the KM 1.8 version. It was light and very fast ... I guess it was pre KM 74 or a test version of KM 74. It wasn't widely talked about as I remember but I moved from KM 1.6 to KM 1.8 and just got to like it. Someone here may be able to help with infoemation about updating the certs in KM 1.6 and KM 1.8 ... it would sure be nice if that certs download can work to that end

Yes, I am following the thread over at the Proxo group. It looks promising at this time. I just hope I can understand it all ... I started using Proxomitron when Scott Lemmon was still alive and that was with Windows 98SE. It carried over to WinXP very nice but it needs some work in 2017. I think Scott Lemmon was 32 when he passed away in 2004 ... he had closed his project down. Here was a

Thanks for the KM information about where the certs are in K-Meleon. I was interested in seeing if I can update the certs in an older version of KM. KM 1.8.24.22 by adodupan I still use sometimes and I figure those certs are very old by now. I have no idea if I can update those certs or if that certs download would even work in KM 1.8. I was just going to experiment and see what happens. T

Thanks ... yes, I also don't understand all the "inner workings" of almost everything but I pick this up 'here and there' and sometimes can make use of it. Over at the Proxomitron forum this information was posted by amy dealing with: Adapting proxo 4.5 to the latest OpenSSL DLLs She posted this ... "Also, if you're looking for a certs.pem you can use the cacert.pem from http://curl.haxx.se/docs/caextract.html (you'll have to rename it to certs.pem for Proxomitron to load it), this is the same set of certificates that Firefo

There has been a new project or project going on since July 2017 over at the The Un-Official Proxomitron Forum. Just to add ... "We're all still here, no one has gone away..." ... so true and we had some posts from Dorian again ... an interesting person with the name 'roytam1' also paid a visit a short time ago and look at all the 'excitement' and interest in K-Meleon toward the end of 2017. I am happy with the Bookmarks.html and Favorites as they are now. I personally use 'Fvorites' and hope 'no' changes will be made to this setup. I do not have to 'Import' or 'Export' anything and everything is always 'up to date' from my IE8 browser ... which I never use but have on hand if needed for any future WinXP updates, as happened earlie

Made some new discoveries and changes today. Many thing are more clear and now make better sense to me. First, probably my main mistake was trying to combine the newer roytam1 KM 76 version with the KM 76 Pro version by rodocop. I didn't want to lose my settings, mainly the Klassic skin setup and a few others. That's why I was confused about the cache2 folder ... since I was also

Thanks roytam1 for the cache2 information. I guess I still have one question about that folder ... should all those items in the 'entries' folder be cleaned out (deleted) every so often or just let everything alone inside the 'cache2' folder. I was wondering if everything was deleted in the 'cache2' folder (cleaned out) ... would everything just be created again f

Thanks for the additional information ... I like that fix as you describe it. I always need all the steps on how to proceed, so thanks for that. Now here is something interesting, last evening I decided to change that one setting back to 'false' and all the downloads were still downloading OK. I have not tried them today yet. I will just leave that setting as it originally was (fa

OK ... I just made a discovery in the last 30 minutes with my download problem. I'm wondering if someone can shed any light or inform me why a certain file does not allow me to choose the correct folder to place the download in. Well ... the so called fix lasted about 30 minutes. The downloads are going somewhere on my C drive and I have no clue where the download is. Checked or unchecked ... the fix is gone, no box pops up so I can select what folder to put the download in. It actually worked for about 30 minutes. I am not going to fool with it anymore ... I will use other browsers to download any files or program

siria ... thank you so much ... "That's not all. In fact, the usual suspect for exactly this prob is at the bottom: "Save as option". That must be UNchecked."
