QuoteYogi Quotesiria But perhaps add a comment near the header somewhere how to *create* the button, that is must be done manually via toolbars.cfg. Because usually macros that toggle buttons also create them themselves, so this might get confusing to later users not aware of this thread and may use other skins ;-) (and I'm still not convinced that toggling back would work also for types 4+

QuoteJohnHell The problem with the update of icons status (pressed or not) in the toolbars is back with the update 3. There is the need to move the mouse or press a key to see the change (already said by Yogi in the proxy thread in General forum). Looks like this time is worst as it doesn't populate to other windows, so, even if an icon in the toolbar can change after mouse move (actually

Actually is more a macro thing, so, yes, Siria xD But better would be to adapt GreaseMonkey to K-meleon and use the already created scripts instead create new macros for cleaning links (that is what those add-ons do), so I vote for desga or Dorian. Then, I think the only left thing would be to just include a call to Greasemonkey in the LinkPopup menu. Note: I said Greasemonkey because of

Quoterodocop I have one observation. Some KM cache files at my XP were populating IE's 'Temporary Internet Files' folder. Helping one russian comrade in his case we found that some KM builds (Ex.: 75b) don't keep some big files in KM profile cache folder and some (Ex.:74) do. Than was found that there are pref browser.cache.disk.max_entry_size that defines max size of

Sorry, but, no. I'm with guenter and I can't believe it. And it's not happening to me either. Look it is not only that new programs installed use of the IE engine, but actual programs may use it. Some of your programs sit in the tray, or any other program you are using, is using the engine to browse and what to set cookies. I hadn't such problems in K-meleon 74 and I don

Forget about Google, Google is being mentioned because is what delays the start being tried to open. That made a good hint (search). The following preference modified, doesn't matter with what, avoid to trigger the DNS request and the try to open that page: kmeleon.plugins.macros.search.meta0.url For example from the default http://www.google.com/search?num=100&q= to http:

I hate when you do that Let's show it on a video. In this video I won't disconnect the WAN as I found 2 quicker ways, or pausing my DNS server, or what is at your hand, stopping the dnscache service, but doing this K-meleon will load faster as the DNS api is not available and doesn't try much to resolve the DNS and therefore load the Google URL. You'll see: 1. I s

Yes, you already discovered, but the sourceforge.net is normal as it is the first start. Nothing to worry about. Thanks to confirm I didn't lose an hour of sleep for nothing EDIT: an easier way for testing, but I thought after wrote that this night, is to set the firewall, if you use one, to block any outgoing connection (because this doesn't stop Windows networking). But I

I was going to bed about an hour ago but... here I'm finding an interesting behavior of the latest update of K-meleon (not happening in update 1). The thing is that K-meleon 75 b3u2 has a very long delay to open if you don't have a working connection to Internet (understand this took me a while). Suspecting of all my special system configuration (Windows 2000) took me to discover

Thanks for the security icon problem being vanished, that it is fixed. And (drums....) the toolbar drag that is fixed too when using windows instead tabs. I don't find further problems right now or any other thing reported in the past. About the folders settings has been told above. I carry the settings from a decade and I don't have problems, as they work correctly, but it is

QuoteDorian I've updated it to fix unicode in menu. Download again. If you want the menu item at the bottom, add in your profile menus.cfg !TextPopup { -spellcheck(here) Spellcheck=spellcheck(here) } Ok, didn't know of the minus command in menus.cfg neither I fixed also a carried misconception in a menu creation while testing too (that TextPopup couldn't b

Looks like it works. It chose the system default language (es-es) without problems and then I set to English and worked too (using my old original+custom dictionaries from 1.6) Thank you so much I hope this means less posts edits for text corrections A doubt: if I'm not wrong, the previous added the context menu entry at the bottom of the menu. This version does at the top. Was/i

It is in the GRE core, nothing to change in K-meleon. If you want to try the actual support in GRE 31 of K-meleon 75 (I don't know if it was implemented in GRE 24/K-meleon 74) change the value of network.http.spdy.enabled.http2draft preference to true. Until a new GRE is used in K-meleon, it will be only a draft, as it is still by IETF, so don't go so fast for it. It won't be

Yes, but as a side note, there is no need to full "Allow" Google; "Allow for session" is enough. For YouTube, for Gmail, for Blogger, for whatever service they have. And we can go beyond and just allow accounts.google.com subdomain for session, that is the cookie that holds the actual login check than then is passed to YouTube to set another login cookie (aside the one for

QuoteJujuLand Perhaps replacing it with a new one ? The one you tried can perhaps done the trick. Can you send it to me ? Might won't help. I completed the test and no luck with new skins. I used the BlackWingCat Windows 2000 wrapper and the comctl32.dll wrapper included looks that hasn't the necessary functions to make the background transparent in new skins. The comctl32.dl

@Dorian, I'm not requesting a fix, as the old skins work. I already told with the original K-meleon 75 and subsequent versions what was happening. While the old skinning works, I don't have anything to blame. Once was broken but then worked again, and if happens again, hey, I'm with an old OS. I know the risks. As I already told in these threads, if it is specific to Windows 200

Jujuland, if it happens only with the new skin system, and not the old, Wine might be using the same functions calls as in Windows 2000, or better, the same dlls. From XP and above, it doesn't happen.

Drop down menus have been fixed too. The drag of a shortcut link from urlbar icon is broken. QuoteDorian QuoteJohnHell The toolbar dragging still broken. I stop reporting this as I used to have now unlocked even som

QuoteYogi Thanks Dorian for the fixes. Images on toolbars created by macro are working as expected now in KM-75b as well! Quotesiria GUI is broken now too? No language setting possible anymore, no drop down, no dropdown list to choose a Skin, and checkmark for skin background doesn't show either... Déjà vu. It was a quick fix last time and I assume so it will be this time. Just c

@Billy, in the preferences panel and K-meleon plugins section, just untick the update plugin. @Siria, I don't have such problem with updates and Firefox, you just disable it from Options panel (Advanced>Update) and nothing else happens anymore.

Quotesiria Converting bookmarklets to macros is no prob for me, but probably most others, and not very handy anyway. Most of avarage users probably never disable/stop JS, so not much problem for them. The bookmarklets will work for them. It is just us, we are extreme xD Quotesiria But toggling navJS OFF is probably still most important, if this can block loaded page scripts, and then usi

Quotesiria Hmm... sorry, not sure I fully understand, still sitting on the cable, as we say here ;-) As practical example, lets say you have loaded a youtube page without JS. Now if you toggle "js.enabled", the page still does nothing, I suppose? Correct. Quotesiria If you now call a bookmarklet, it didn't work in first betas. Does it now - or still not? Still not.

@Siria, Dorian fixed it in K-meleon 75 beta 3. JavaScript toggles without page reload. What I was telling JamesD is that the navToggleJS toggles the preference javascript.enabled too, because he looked in doubt of a parameter/status to check, so there was no need to change the command for the skin icons and/or macros. When toggled JavaScript we still can check the javascript.enabled stat

Nah, as I said replying to myself, it was the storange permissions for Flash. Sites rarely request space and this was requesting :/ I totally forgot I had it blocked and that it could cause these behaviors.
