I'd really like to thank everyone here for the continued kind and always very helpful support. It's the best I've come across. Much appreciated. I find that K-M is the browser you can enjoy tinkering about with in the garage, as much driving it out on the road.

So far so good! Except: last saved session includes too many tabs when browser is re-opened. For example: When I have 5 tabs open at the end of a browsing session and I close 3 of those tabs immediately before closing ccfme Then all 5 tabs will open on ccfme restart. This is not entirely new - it tends to happen throughout different 7/8/9 versions

Thanks again! I am a bit slow but I get there. I was confusing ID_FILE_SAVE_AS in skin menuicons.cfg with ID_SAVE_LINK_AS Great! That makes selecting the right click options far easier.

Thanks disrupted, I forgot to mention that I use ccfme, there isn't an option for that in ccfme prefs that I can see. However I looked at the official K_M user-pref and pasted it into ccfme pref.js user_pref("browser.link.open_external", 3); and it now opens in new tab Thanks

I've noticed that when I open a link from IE into K-m that it opens in the current k-m tab. Is there a way to get it to open in a new tab ? (my k-m settings open everything within the browser in new tabs)

Hao's ccfme k-meleon has speed dial http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?1,83269 But even so like you I have made my own html link page with clickable thumbnails - I don't need the thumbnails to update each time I open the browser however I prefer to use keyboard shortcuts to launch urls - it's quicker, I've rigged up approx 33 of them

Thanks for looking into it. I also remembered that a jesse ruderman bookmarklet "Remove Redirects" also does the same thing, https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/pagelinks.html but it is not quite so convenient because it's necessary to click on the bookmarklet first - then any google image thumbnail on the active page will open to the frameless website Here's a c

Thanks for pointing out that option. I would prefer a simple click tho' I've just twigged that it is actually a Maxthon plugin "remove link trackers that I have installed in TheWorld Browser which is directing the image click straight to the frameless page. Though as k-m can already do it as you described above, how can it be made permanently active in k-m as default o

Typo: should read "TheWorld browser" above. I see a couple of firefox extensions that can partially do it. "customize google" and "google images re-linker" however rather than direct the google image thumbnails to the websites minus the frame - they link directly to the single image only, which isn't what I am after.

when I use k-meleon for image search and click on a thumbnail result the page it takes me to is in a frame with a "remove frame" option up top. However when I use TheWord browser I get the resultant page directly without the frame how do I do this in k-m ?

Thank you again Hao. I'll try it over the next few days Nice to see "forcing link to open in newtab and background tab" bug has been fixed Small cosmetic point: I notice that the task bar icon changes to match the active tab icon, how do I stop that please - I like plain old K_M icon permanently in taskbar. * Bug when attempting to download/open movie thumbnail links -

QuoteGentleman_1So I have to go through all that trouble of finding and installing plugins to do something I do with 1 click in IE ? No there shouldn't be any trouble and no need to install plugins to download images. Right click on image / save image as Can you save this? http://www.photopixels.com/nature/pages/7-3-2004-14.html jpg name = 7-3-2004-14.jpg or if you use Hao

QuotebillIs the idea that no one can complain too much about a beta as long as it's not a finished product? The skin is fine as skins go, save for the button sizes However My favourite skin is the Anonymity Skin For me the main point of a browser is to access and deliver web content? I find that most skin colours tend to divert my eye from the web page. As much of my browsing involves reading/typing black print on a white or neutral background I don't want my eye distracted by shine
