Hi George, Do you know if this solves the problem using Twitter and other sites' video playback in Windows XP or earlier? Thanks, Thomas

Quotesiria It was truly horrifying, so far I only was aware they give themselves the right to secretly store everything forever and abuse private data. But not necessarily aware this includes modifying and selling files stored privately in one of their accounts, like music or books. That is scary stuff! I didn't know it was quite that bad honestly!! This is why I am so fond of Ghostery

Quotefoliator When I used Opera Mobile a long time ago there was a discussion about music in one of Opera's off-topic forums. I made the mistake of saying that I didn't like opera, and then had to explain that I was referring to the music genre, not the browser. That's hilarious! I think it should have been named Grieg as well, although he is one of my favourite composers!

Wow, interesting! I didn't think XP SP3 removed much except for Windows 3.x program groups!

I have tried out many browsers and have switched to Pale Moon as my main browser for the time being! :O It is just so simple and easy to use and upgrading to the latest version is simple and even automatic if you want! (though I doubt many here would care for that feature ) I also enjoy the simple compatibility with the Firefox addons, but without the insanity of running the absurd piece of gar

Hi Foliator; sorry for the delay — I just finished my last school assignment and now I'm back to K-Meleon and all the other wonderful things in life! Quotefoliator I think the first version of MuseScore that I tried must have been something like .9x, because it was slightly less frustrating. Also, in that very old version you could adjust the zoom increment, and also save that as a pref

Well it seems to be related to running XP or earlier OSes. I guess it must be a Gecko, Goanna, and Blink problem then!

I just tried the demo on http://www.w3schools.com/TAgs/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_video, and it works great with OGG Vorbis video, but when that line is removed it cannot play the MP4 video. This seems to be a OS problem, not a Gecko problem since I get the same result in Chromium-based Opera. Has anyone found success with using an updated version of the K-Lite codec pack??

That "TheWorld" browser link does not work for me. Tumblr video refuses to play in K-Meleon, Pale Moon, or Firefox. The play button does nothing. (My Pale Moon's version of Goanna is similar to Gecko 38.8 I believe) I tried Tumblr video in the latest version of Opera however (36.0.2130.75; based on Chromium 49.0.2623.112 it looks like) and it tells me right out that "No com

Thanks for the reply! I had to use Musescore for a music technology class and I hated every minute of it. I used version 1.x because it was at least somewhat sane and somewhat respected my user interface but the prof was expecting version 2.x files which made it look messed up on his computer and I lost a lot of marks that way after spending hours perfecting my scores in version 1.x. That

Last Off-topic comment to Foliator: Musescore is a complete mess and nightmare IMHO, especially Musescore 2.x You should try out LilyPond with Frescobaldi for easier editing! (Frescobaldi is nice and simple but also Qt-based so you might want to look at another editor if you want to avoid Qt. (Windows Notepad works fine and there's a plugin for jEdit if you want syntax highlighting and

Hi, I thought I would point out that a new user seems to have found a solution to the longtime border bug (at least since K-M 74!) The details are here: http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/read.php?4,138488 As you can see from the screenshot, there is a double-border at the top of the frame, so the temporary frame at the bottom of the tab bar will have to be removed as well. This is a Mozi

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/04/11/future_of_firefox_is_chrome/ I don't fully understand this article, but it looks like they're saying Gecko is going away, reducing the Web engine ecosystem to two? (KHTML/Webkit/Blink & Trident??) Perhaps someone else has a better grasp on this and how it would affect K-Meleon.

Thanks for the Help menu macro! Regarding the picture/file hosting service, I have tried Dropbox, Microsoft Windows Live Folders/SkyDrive/OneDrive, TinyPic (these image services tend to downgrade your image quality and delete it after 30 days or something), and others, and of them, Dropbox might be the best but I honestly find it easier to just use a plain old Web hosting service like 100FreeSpa

Regarding Siria's post, I had always kept to the default settings because of course I just assumed that there was some method of scripting to make a page open in a new tab, but I guess tabs are still a new enough thing that it hasn't yet been warranted? (although even Internet Explorer has had tabs for almost 10 years now!) Good detective work, and I agree with the suggestion!

Yes, the program pulls off the great feat of being wonderfully customizable and incredibly feature-rich, while still being very lightweight and efficient at using resources. As far as a bookmarks menu, there is one, right at the top of the screen, as well as full support for IE favorites! If you meant a sidebar, then plain old Firefox and IE are the only ones I know of with that capability. S

I must say this stuff really does scare me. I just know and love the Windows 98 user interface so well; it is truly the finest ever created IMO (and I can see others here share the sentiment), which is why I'd hate to have to switch systems to some Linux distro or something else. I am still just hoping for ReactOS development to speed up so that some day a version 1.0 might see the light of

Quotesiria Quotethomase13The only problem is that simple users like me don't really understand how to use the privacy bar properly; we just assume that the default settings are good and go about our business. As I said, I have changed settings to accept only first-party cookies, but don't really understand the implications of having Javascript, cookies, etc. on or off by default or whe

Perhaps I only need "plus.google.com" or "apis.google.com", so I will try a few more things. That's where the privbar really shines ;-) By toggling manually only when really needed. Although I have the unea

I have struggled with understanding profiles, but after reading things in the forums and wiki, and learning the difference between profile.ini and profiles.ini, I think I have a slightly better understanding. Since no one objected, I ended up just copying over my old profile from K-M 74, and everything worked! The only strange thing right off the bat was how the toolbar positions are completely

Hello all, It's been a while — I have switched over to Firefox 28 temporarily as my main browser (last version before Australis), but its toolbars spontaneously corrupted, and now have more time to get K-Meleon updated again. Always happy to see the progress here! In the past I have found it easiest to simply copy my old profile over to new versions. Is there reason this is a bad i

http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2014/11/mozilla-ends-google-relationship-firefox-will-now-default-to-yahoo/ I think this is rather big news! I am guessing this will just mean less revenue for Mozilla, but no less insanity, since that seems to come from Mozilla itself. What think?
